i'll test some more with ShowTrigger=True....i have dedicated=true if that matters.
Its best noticed if Dedicated=false
the code for Zounds should then look to see if the person has MyZounds package
For the 100th time... Zound does not have any Client Classes and only a Client class can see what a person has or has not.
U can actually add the F10 option when creating packages. The only question here is if Proasm is using ucc to create packages.
Where do I create packages ?
Well in that case, it would be up the Zound package creator to add the option then correct? So then we would make Zounds Mut a download, but then the actual sound packages are optional, right?
Packages are set in the UT2004.ini file (ServerPackages=Whatever) BEFORE the level changes over and not after.
When a package is set to download, thats it, there is nothing under the sun that can stop it now except an intervention from the client himself during the event.

Now, come to think of it Mephisto...it's a bad idea all around. The client is going to have to hit F10 at EVERY single map change for the duration of their connection to the server. It's not going to mark it as permanently skipped.

Could not hear the whining there anymore.

If they are want this, ok. If not, also ok :)

Actually it is take it or leave it .. I love the sounds, that's it :) But people asked me to do it, so I done it ... For me it doesn't make a difference pressing the key binding in every game, or pressing F10 everytime. But for them ? Who knows :) :) Strange world.

By the way, just tried it no press f10 .... nothing changes, you just don't hear the sounds ...

BUT : I really have to go to my bloody Server :) A nice wonderfull 12 hour shift in the night ...

I have just checked it again and it works great.

Dedicated=False
ShowTrigger=True


I type a message:
this is a cool map

The message displays as:
ProAsm: this is a cool map

The sound is 'cool'

Dedicated=False
ShowTrigger=False


I type a message:
this is a cool map

The message displays as:
ProAsm: this is a map (note: the Trigger word cool is missing)

The sound is 'cool'

Although one would normally only have ShowTrigger=False when Dedicated=True

1. How many of these dedicated slots do you need.
2. When do they trigger - when that nickname enters the game ?
3. I dont understand the word guid - what does that mean ?

Ok I have fixed the Showtrigger and have added 2 Mutate commands for the Admin - from the tutorial:
Mutate Zound Dedicated
The ServerAdmin can toggle the Dedicated this way.

That would be cool. Currently I am using a similiar mut called OWNAGE ... this one is displaying the member in huge letters and is playing a sound (cannot be changed).

But this is triggering the sound when a certain clan tag is displayed rather then nicknames.

If you want to test it grap the IP at ar3s.net and connect with clan tag

doesn't look like you ran the converter...or it didnt overwrite the one in the zip. That is the default ini that is shipped with b6..also...in the converter...it you type 'b6' in the dilog box after 48 it will create zound48b6.ini for you with correct section headings
