It's not a movie, but a re:view by Redlettermedia. Jay and Macaulay discussed "the warriors" which is one of my favourite 70s movies. And they did a great job. 10,1/10.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix-5/10
This movie is pretty average because:
1. The new X-Men were never as good as the old X-Men.
2, James McAvoy should never have been Professor X . He plays a part that Patrick Stewart played but he comes across as a total pommie fop. Stewart never played the character that way.
The most emotional and atmospheric part of the flick was Hans Zimmer's music which is superb., Not every Marvel Studios movie can be an absolute entertainment juggernaut. This movie wasn't.

I'm with you...but I bumped it up to about 6.5 or a 7. Refreshing (for me) to see comic book films that aren't part of the MCU.

As someone who has listened to Queen their whole life: music, costumes, acting, production..... I think they really nailed this.

Average and not as good as the first film. Predictable plot with tired and over-used plot arcs. The music is o.k.

I haven't watched a movie in months. Too busy with other things. Learning a new language, my art, meeting new people, photography etc. etc.

I saw this in 3D at the cinema. In 2D, on a second look, it's just as good.... even better the second time around.

Why Marvel, Why? Is Dark Phoenix really that bad? I've heard rumblings, but haven't seen it yet.
Chasing the Moon-10/10
A three-part, six hour long documentary on the evolution of manned spaced flight up to the Apollo moon landings. Although the subject has been covered before (well and truly) this documentary sheds a lot of light on the politics of the day and the Russia vs. USA cold war politics that motivated the Space Race.
Brilliantly written, amazing new archival footage; a must see for anyone who is interested in space exploration, and its history.
