The man from mo wax 8 / 10

A documentary about James Lavelles' rise and fall(and rising and failing again), his Mo Wax label, Unkel, etc. If you liked the music his label put out and the musicians he discovered this is a must see.

Moana-8/10

The film tells the story of Moana, the strong-willed daughter of a chief of a Polynesian village, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with a goddess. When a blight strikes her island, Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in the hope of returning the heart of Te Fiti and saving her people.

In the tradition of other Walt Disney animated musicals... enchanting to say the least. The animation is superb, stunning.

Because I absolutely love watching this movie. Everything seems to come together nicely.. Storywise, acting, mood, musi, photography, the shadow and light play, the suggestive (can actually be more gripping and captivating than say actual slasher). One of my favourite scenes of this movie is when Nicole Kidman searches the room with all the covered up furniture etc. It's in broad daylight but it has grips you by the troath. Not my first viewing of this movie, it has a been while though. I think it's sublime and I've really enjoyed watching this again.

Aquaman-5/10

This is probably the most visually impressive of the DC Universe films so far. That being said it's a disjointed story which seems to draw on a lot of the old Hollywood cliches making it pretty predictable in places.

There is a strong cast of supporting actors but, in my opinion, they only serve to prop up Jason Momoa's extremely limited acting ability and range because, in my opinion, he can't really act.

Solo: A Star Wars Story - 7/10

I enjoyed the movie but felt it only really answered one question which was how he got the falcon. There is still so much left unaswered about his back story which is just annoying and if anything it raised more questions.
