I have no idea what server you are playing on but I can tell you that RA does not hinder movement on large maps to the extent that you seem to think. Getting into a fire fight on EP does not take long at all. RA on this map is far from awkward.

It probably hinders your movement because you are busting out of the spawn at full sprint, then you wonder why you run out of gas so quickly. By jogging around you can easily circle the entire map w/o running out of stam, not an easy feat with 50 lbs of gear on ur back.

Keep in mind also, DTAS makes the distance needed to travel to obtain contact much shorter because you know which way to head. If we played tdm, then yes Rav2 on EP does get tiring.

Hey Fury!!! As stated there's 2 versions of RA now the original rav2 and the souped up version by Duke and Toad ra286. Personally I think the moving speed is just about right if you limit the running to when you need to get out of the enemies sights quik and jog to travel. It also makes teamplay more common ... very few lone heros to be seen everyone trying to move in a cordinated (thankyou INFgps) fireteam.

Then again I must admit I have had very little time to play lately.

Yea, same problem here. Ive been helping plat and ferret and it got busy for a while there.
I heard a buzz that 2.9 was shipping soon (*cough* ) so I stopped by.
I have to get online for a few myself. The bots here are really bad sports x_X

Now I know the difference between jogging mode and pel-mel running for your life mode. The stamina level gets in my way while using jog all the same.
Please, keep in mind that its been my experience with this ra2 more than the old one. Maybe its cause of my habit for carrying M16+203 and bein a wandering fool looking for the next bot to smoke
But if others have a similar problem, Take that observation for what its worth.
...It could also be spun that teamplay is happening cause your teammates can no longer run away

Well if you are using RAv2 offline with bots, I can see why it could get frustrating since RA doesn't affect the speed of bots, so you can't catch them. Also you can't play DTAS with bots, so you end up playing TDM which means a lot of wandering around hunting for bots that got stuck at a path node.... not that fun. RAv2 shines online not off. I hope to see you online some time. Try to keep your eyes pealed for a RAv2 game with 6 or more ppl, TAS only kicks in once 6 ppl have joined. Unfortunately, games like those are few and far between these days I have had more luck trying to catch the Euro crowd around 8-10 GMT since they seem to me more active lately.

I believe this is part of the current problem. People are waiting for the magic number of six. I have visions of 15-20 RA players working on their machines as they monitor the number of players to reach the magic number which of course it doesn't.

Why not just set a party night? Call a day and just be on a server, lag be damned.

The bots arnt so bad on some maps. I still manage to enjoy it despite them.
My biggest problem is the maps I like are large and open. Very few of those are around, and those that are tend to have pathing issues and holes.
Ive tried making them myself in unreal ed, but thats anotehr rant...

I recall a pack of large desert maps meant for 2.87 that were "in progress" when I last looked.
Anything ever come of that?

I like the RAv2 on the [jgkdo] a lot, but i wasn't used to these new sounds and so i didn't notice i was being shot at (on sicily night)- it took me at least 3 rounds to figure out what these funny noises were! *lol*

Add some powerful batteries to power electrical drive of about 4KWt (4+ horse-power), and the bulk of the gun itself, and you'll see that even the strongest man won't be able to carry this load, less to fire it with any chance to hit, due to extremely powerful recoil.

Well I would PR love to tell PR him but you see PR I forgot what it is. I PR was hoping PR someone who knew PR it would come in and tell him but I see PR that won't happen. To bad it sounds as if he really wants PR to try it. I plan to do a PR test and see PR if my subconscious knows it. Maybe PR pulling random Scrabble PR letters PR from a bag.
