yes I am pretty sure, cause the green lights moved when the second player (the one not visible) turned.

Also the player himself was turned into green light. I can do more screenshots after work... there is no INF on my machine at work :(

Strange, i tested it online using 2 computers and i don't see this happening.
Plus, no one notices the green light when i'm playing on the SG server...
It would seem unlikely that this is a driver issue, but i don't know what to tell you.

I get similar messed up visuals (at least with the scope zoom effect) as well. I'm also using D3D. Might have something to do with the api?

I took some more pics

Everything was done in a 2 PC Lan Game, with non dedicated server. No other mutator was running. In the Infiltartion.ini I added 'ServerPackages=DUKEXM8B'

One System uses OGL (Ti4200) the other D3D (Rad 9600) the effect was seen on both...

here the other ones,
the green light was caused by the other player standing behind the rocks (at the spawn with the zodiaks).

I hope not to frustrate you too much :(

Could it be me just nut using the correct server settings ?

seems it has something to do with -non dedicated- server

when I did start a dedicated server on one machine and joined this game the only glitch that occured was this one (caused by the current player). The others didn't occur.

Thanx a lot for all your efforts btw :)

Hey Duke, I extracted the files for the XM8 mutator into my UT/systems directory, but when I go to the mutator menu in Infiltration, only "DukeADDHUD" shows up as a mutator, and "DukeXM8" doesn't appear at all. Is this mutator supposed to be compatible with Mac OS 9? (I use a really old machine... =P)

Unix based OS are case-sensitive, that is, small letters are not the same as capital letters. UT mutators only work if the filename is in small letters. Make sure there are no capital letters:

dukeXM8.INT -> dukexm8.int

That's caused by the same thing that makes everything glow when you use the shotty's or the FN flashlight...

could you extend the ini to enabel/disable nightvision and to enable/disable the scalable zoom (zoom mode works like ACOG but can be entered by pressing "change weapon mode"). would be great! :)

ive just recently replaced my Geforce card with a Radeon 9800XT, and ive encountered this problem when using the zoom, i know its not anything concerning the weapon, just wondering if anyone more familiar with this card has a suggestion on how to fix this?

I reported the exact same problem earlier in this thread (occurs on a Radeon 9600). According to Duke its 100% driver issue. I just can't fix it because there is no newer one for my laptop but you should not have as much difficulty. You can also switch to OGL to get rid of it, I guess.

Umm... 3 year warranty? Or did it 'fall off the back of a truck'?
