XM8 lightweight assault rifle model in progress

XM8 compatible with OS 9?

Hey Duke, I extracted the files for the XM8 mutator into my UT/systems directory, but when I go to the mutator menu in Infiltration, only "DukeADDHUD" shows up as a mutator, and "DukeXM8" doesn't appear at all. Is this mutator supposed to be compatible with Mac OS 9? (I use a really old machine... =P)

Bug?

If you drop or toss your XM8 online, and pick it up again, you no longer see a weapon in first person view. You can select it and switch to it, but it's not drawn. So you can't aim or anything like that anymore.

Actually, this is a general bug that happens with all weapons (including the originals). It happens when you toss your weapon and pick it up really quickly before letting it hit the ground. Try it with some of the stock weapons online.

only works in aimed mode, i think you have to be zoomed in with the alt weapon ala robar zoom, or held breath with beppos mut

zoomed mode is still funky for me, so i use it like p90's big brother

yes, I love the new skin... and I love its working online now :)

I'm almost sure there isn't, but I still ask: There is no way to implement NV without active light (like giving higher brightness to all textures seen through the scope just) so that turning on NV doesn't draw others attention? (PIC: green light is caused by a second XM8 guy standing right to the player).

Also I get messed up visuals when using D3D on my notebook.

Hmm, it's not supposed to be like that. When i tested it online, the greenlight is only visible to the player using it.
Are you sure that wasn't from a tossed weapon? That was a problem in the previous version.
