As bad as this is....

Truly this has caught the attention of the entire world and is condemned by much of it. However despite our anger and want of retribution I can't fathom that we'd consider resorting to a nuclear release. It is best it not even be discussed. There are other options that will be used instead. It will need to be severe but there, at least in my opinion, is no reason to even consider resorting to that extreme.

Maybe it's better if america ehm.. (please don't take this the wrong way) cools down a bit. I mean, some of you talk about revenge and even going to war.
That's serious stuff.

i am from america and as a person involved in defense *normally* on site at one of our bases, i get some additional insight and i can tell you that our military leaders do not get in charge by being hot headed. retaliation is not for revenge but for prevention.

And if it were YOUR country and YOUR monuments that were attacked Neonite, you would be saying the same things U.S people here are.

War!?!

Neonite,

I'm typing this with a cool head. However think 10 years back: we went to war over oil.

Now we have an attack. An attack using our own people and planes as ammunition. An attack on our own soil. We have the potential for casualities beyond 10,000.

I'd say there is a very good chance we'd go to war once the responsible party(ies) are brought to light.

We can't sit idly by and let this pass. We've done that too much already. We ignore this and it tells the world we're easy. That we're tolerant.

I can't say if what happens will officially be war but I can bet that where we strike back it will sure as heck seem like it.

the talk of war is pure revenge though, or for the feeling that somebody pays. the problem with these attacks is that USA will not be able to identify that somebody.

I don't agree at all. Unless sutch acts of evil is punished hard, the message to terrorists is that they can go on because we can't hurt them. If war is needed, then so be it. Most likely there is no nation behind this, hence war is not an option though.

Saw some footage of the first building collapsing, from down below, in the streets. Someone was filming it, started running away, but there was no escape.. eveyrone got covered in the smoke, smog.. the street was covered with debris, smog..
really incredible...

LOOK.

I'm not meaning to disrespect anyone okay.
I'm not a moron. I'm no idiot.
I'm a sensible person. YES i'd be DAMN angry if i'd would've been my country! of course!
BUT... I understand you guys are extremely pissed off.. but if you based on those emotions act.. things could go wrong..
PLease try to understand what i'm saying.. that's all.
Again, yes the people responsible for this should indeed be hunted down and punished.

i'm not saying you should back down. If necessary of course the US should go to war against the ones responsible..
But you need to know how... that's all.

"Be a coward, run away. Live to see another day..."
I was supposed to have a real gr8 class trip to the Kineret lake. It was cancelled. I usually get 2 school riding a bus (and don't bother me parents). I won't tomorrow. I go shopping at malls. Tomorrow I won't.
The worst part about it is that no one here in IL is very moved by this (I mean it IS horrifying but), since we're already 'used to' people dying in terorrist bombing. We had a whole year with no single week (well maybe some...) without palestinians killing some one, and us coming out on the worst side... But I can live with that. I'm used to it :hmm:. I sicken myself.

The people responsible need to be punished for this tragedy, but with no loss of life from any other than those responsible, as that would only make us as bad as the terrorists themselves

Find those responsible.

Destroy them.

Destroy anybody (country) that knowingly harbors them. Using any means necessary.
Kinda harsh. How about courts? justice? They should be sent to the chair by 12 people, anot just you.
And anyone flaming NeoNite:
I know what hell is. I live in there. I can't go without fear in any means of public transportation. I can't go to anyplace overcrowded. I can't visit my neighboring countries. And yet I don't say "NUKE 'EM" like a trigger-happy m0f0. 'Cause after 54 years of fighting for some place to live, us Israelis are finally accepting the fact that violence goes nowhere. If you kill \ nuke \ destroy the people or nation responsible, they or their friends (allies) will just keep on killing your civilians. I just wish all world controlling presidents/prime ministers/dictators knew that. :(

i am so shocked about this, even in the UK... i know it maybe be tough on people, i would be too and i send my prayers + condolences to anyone involved in this world disaster...
its such a waste of lives and i don't know how they could do this. its just terrible... such a peaceful city was NewYork, 2 years ago when i visited and now look at it. chaos and distress in every part of it... just like a saying in MaxPayne:
Everything ripped apart in a NewYork minute

Uri, i just hope that doesn't happen with the nukes and that... my dad is out i kuwait and i don't want him to be in danger :(
And when people say there will be no world support, you are wrong... already the UK is willing to stand side-by-side and i am sure that others will follow us both.

first its the problem in Ireland (US in peacetalks), then problems in Israel (US involved again) and now the terrorist attacks...
anybody else see a connection here?

/me crys out in distress

1000 years ago there was a person who predicted 3 world wars, he has predicted the first and the second one, the third one was predicted in 2001 (coincidence?)
he said: the leader shall fail (probably referring to bush) and two big brothers will be thorn apart in chaos (world trade center?)
