Nice one! I like the mossy effect to it, lookin' sharp. The grass would look much better darker. (But then it's WIP)

ah, ****... i solved the problem. i deleted all the dynamic lights i had in the map and now it's all green. gotta find a way to do what i used those dynamic lights for some other way now. that's what you get for choosing the easy way... or:

:(

IF, you MUST use a dynamic light then apply a special channel to it so that affects only what you want it to.

I think it has great potential, the mood and style is awesome. I would spam around a bit more of that blueish green light you have going at the bottom, especially near the lower areas so you get a subtle gradient of yellow at the top to cool blue down below. Also I would make the yellow light near the top stronger, to emphasise this gradient feeling and to make the three lamps you have stand out more. Those three lamps seem to give off pretty much no light right now, I would make them give off way more light with a short range to not overlit the whole area. Make sure the environment clearly seems to take light, so it doesnt feel as if the lamps are glued on or useless.
I would also make a leave particle, so you can have red leaves dwindling (or however you write it) down all the time to add to the atmosphere. The one green plant you have at the bottom works well and adds a nice color to the scene, you may want to try placing more green plants at the lower level, so again emphasis the yellow to green/blue gradient.

Let me know how the level progresses.

Even the first day UT3 was released I got sick of these packages. Actually there's some good stuff in there people don't use much, but FFS, lay off the god damn catwalk meshes.

Yeah, really... I'm all about making sure that UT2004 packages would convert easy to UT3 for a map or two. Unfortunately, I don't think you can really do that...

:D boy oh boy this map has been a long time coming! ATM it is still only BSP, terrain and lighting (Though I have tweaked post proccessing effects and heightfog, and the volumetric lightcones... and some other stuff :D)

anyway, Im dead proud of it so far. Only problem is that i cannot find and decent staticmeshes that would to add to the theme... However, im going to experiment with terrain using a water material to see what cool effects I can get going.

one more thing does anyone know how to slow people down who are walking, for example wading through water. I want to discourage people from going out to sea. Oh yeah forgot to mention :D its sort of on a desert/tropical island. Havn't decided yet, as although tropic would give me more tools to decorate with, desert suits it a bit better...

with DM-Saip i'm trying capture the feeling i get when playing certain original UT or Unreal maps. so far i think i'm doing a good job :lol:
it's just unfortunate you can't see all the movement in a screenshot :(
