Boy oh boy do I LOVE lift jumping. This map has quite alot of good z-axis fighting. I'll probably have an alpha out soon, once items are placed and bots are pathed. :p

Thanks. I was going for more of the UT2k4 style of 1v1, with alot of opportunities for trick jumping. However, It's going to be fine for UT3, scale wise. I do have to make some little changes (like the hallway length)

Starting to work on the theme of the map. I'm just trying to place all the materials first, then I'll work on my lighting and what not. I'm going for a clean egyptian theme. Should be yummy.

So I decided to switch gears (no pun intended) and work on another GoW SP map. I found making SP maps more fun than DM, really allows me to get dirty with kismet!

Some teasers attached. VERY WIP, no lighting.

Basically the premise is that the player needs to take the scenic route into town and reach the slums were a large sinkhole has been reported with masses of locust that need to be stopped!

Below is about 8 hours of work so far. Another 8 and I can get the slums area done. Maybe...

hmm. I've yet to see a screen that really shows the layout, but the style looks lovely. Good work.

I'll try and post some screens showing the layout soon, its hard to take a picture of the layout though. i didnt use much BSP though, i was going to, but it was causing me to much trouble :mad: so i just stopped using it :lol:
so its mostly all static mesh and the lark :) much better imo anyhow.

^^So basically theres two main towers, each with two levels, and both have two indoor areas. and then theres the sniper tower [Right foreground] and the Redeemer tower :D [Center Background, barely visible]

This is the top of the main tower (the larger one) the red arrows show entrances and directions. the arrow at the top left [pointing of screen] shows how the player can jump from this tower and land on the other tower (its a big jump, and very cool :lol:) the center arrow, pointing down, shows that the player can jump through this centre area and down to the first level of the main tower.

^^this is the botttom floor of the main tower, the arrows on the left are the lift down from the top floor, the green arrow in the BG is the elevator up. the highlighted yellow part is a trap door, which opens at random [it seriously is at random, its not timed, it opens when any bot or player passes through a trigger zone three times], any player that happens to be on it will fall to their death :`( the blue arrows come from the bottom level of tower 2.

this is tower 2, the white arrow is the jump from the main tower , the green arrow is a jump-pad jump over to the sniper tower. you can work the others out :)

When i designed the layout i wasnt thinking about how a ut map should be layed out instead i thought of how a factory like this, should be layed out.

Got a displaced fracture in a car accident, so I haven't been able to do much on this. When I was finally able to map again, I changed everything, I don't know why. :\

I know nothing has really changed besides the color.

Feast your eyes upon DM-Propyl originally intended for the FoT mappack but that died a painful death. Anyway expect a release or at least beta soon. BTW all custom SMs and two new materials
