That`s not exactly what the Luthern preacher told me just before I threw him out of the house when they came over to 'save us'.Cat Fuzz said:I'm not sure. Some think that people like that are judged according to their knowledge. It's also suggested somewhere in the Bible that the people that have never heard the name of Jesus will also be judged differently than those who have.

Where’s the dividing line? One mentally challenged person sort of understands the concept of a savior, but isn’t sure what to do. Same thing with small children.Cat Fuzz said:I'm not sure. It seems wishy-washy to me that some are judged differently. Coming from a religious background, I’ve been told that it was all very cut and dried. All you have to do is believe that christ died for your sins. Nothing else would work. All the good deeds in the world wouldn’t work if you didn’t believe in christ. christ was the key.
Now I'm hearing god might say, “Well, I might make exceptions here and there.”
Well, don’t you feel that this creates an inherent problem with the logic of many Christians who interpret john 3:16 literally? At the very least, it seems like some revision or clarification of the rule is in order.Cat Fuzz said:I'm not exactly sure on this concept. I've been thinking about it for years.
John 10:28 (New International Version)
28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.
