That screenshot you posted with the CUTTER in it is a good example of a map that it COULDN'T be used in without a headache because of all the meshes, just look at the walls around the lava pit.
Actually, that map is an example of where the CUTTER worked wonders. Only took me a moment just now to grab another (head)shot to help me make the point. Blades bounce around just fine, and it can be great fun.
And in the first shot I posted, secondary fire would have done the trick just fine, and is also quite fun.
EPIC is not going to include ....
If I were to rely solely on maps (or anything for that matter) that come from Epic, I never would have played UT and UT2004 for as long as I did. Without a constant flow of quality custom maps, you've got a dead game (from my POV at least).
So anyway, I respectfully disagree. I don't feel you've made a good case against a buzzsaw type of weapon. To each his own. Which of course is the beauty of a fully mod-able game. Which brings me 'round to being on topic, sort of. Let's hope 'fully mod-able' is in UTs future...
