This has been bothering me quite a bit ('cuz I hate being misunderstood), and though I should prolly just keep my mouth shut I'm gonna speak up anyways.

I do *not* oppose grenades in any way shape or form. In fact, I used to be quite the 'nade whore in DF2. The *only* reason I don't like having so many M203 'nades is cuz it reduces my max stamina by one third. Oh yeah, and i've figured out a workaround, too. :D

Whew, I feel much better now.

does the throw amoo key work on nades??? why not everything else?

and it only gives you 5 and it doesnt take much stamina at all
if you take a launcher you want some nades with it!
if you only want one or less... then dont bother taking one

I get 7 grenades, and I like going lightweight. I'm going to create a loadout with the M203, but no grenades so I'll only get 5. That's enough for me to be able to keep my stamina up.

Is there something wrong with having an M203 and *not* being a grenadier? It doesn't matter that much to me, I'm using the SIG more often now anyway. I don't like the M16, it's not my style. I prefer the M4 or a smaller gun like the MP5.

edit: almost forgot, no the throw ammo key does *not* work online, I already mentioned that.

Did you change the damage on the PSG? If i hit a person squarely in the chest i kill them every time now with just one shot. If i wing them i need a follow up shot.

*edit* I am not complaining or anything, as a matter of fact i love it, just asking

Hey Yurch, are you gonna try that damage randomizer thing? That would be kinda cool if you did...

Yurch's theory, and a sound one that the rest of AFA can back up, is that one would not take an M-203, or a HK-69, just to have very few rounds to fire off.

Plus a long-range weapon like a nade launcher doesn't lend itself very well to charging to the front line of battle... :)

Hello Everyone

By the way this is Post 898 (almost at the 1,000 mark)

my only reason for this post it to say hello in a Thread that I havnt been in, and is just way toooo big not to

Yes Ive played it, and the first time it was a huge shock to the system...

I like the slowing down and everything but can I ask all those players that Like it please dont scare off the newbies...

I've noticed over the last 3 months that theirs a small rift forming between two fanatical groups of people supporting and opposeing these two forms of play.

if theres a obvious newbie thread please leave the RA or No-RA dispute out of their minds...

I know not this is not directed at everyone in here and Not just the RA players but hay, you guys have a thread I can post in without having to create one and I also just wanted to add my name to the (Hopefully) 1,000 posts for the Purple Hatted Pimp

Yurch what happened to the PSG-1 im getting a lot of cone fire. I put my cross hairs on a guys head and hit the guy beside him in the chest.

Yurch, the ACOG bob is very marked now while standing. I don't mind that I have to crouch to bring it under enough control to make the weapon useful, except that there are circumstances were you can't crouch and fire. The sniper window on Dockside, for instance -- if you crouch at the windowsill, you can't see anything on the ground. If you stand, you can't hit anything because the breathing control won't quiet the bob. So the acog'd M16 is not very useful there. Not very realistic, as you would be able to rest your elbow on the windowsill and have a nice, quiet scope IRL. I wonder if the bob is a bit overdone now in the standing position. In the standing fire position, you would properly have your left elbow (assuming a right-handed shooter) nicely tucked into your chest, supporting the rifle in a stable manner, so when your pause your breathing you can be very accurate. So, in RA2, a breathing pause should still the scope view even in a standing position. Just IMHO.

Over doing what exactly? He hasn't messed with the varying position sensitivities since RAv1.

Viper: I understand what you're saying, but until a way can be figured out to use the weapon collision as a sort of sensitivity modifier, we'll just have to suffer. I don't think there is much that yurch can do about that. Just keep in mind though, that resting a weapon on a window sill is bad form for any rifleman, let alone a sniper. It exposes your weapon, and it can be seen from below and to the sides, not to mention, exposes you more.
