Pray for the people who are still alive but trapped.
because these guys are the people suffering the most, coz even there families are uncertain over their fate.
Rescue authorities usually have a time gap of 72 hours for the 50% probability that anyone trapped in rubble will still be alive.
Lets hope that the rescue efforts pay out...

What happened today is an act of violence on a scale so terrible it's not been seen in the West since World War 2 ... but causing WW3 or even just slaughtering those who may be responsible will just escalate the situation. We need justice, not revenge.

ild prefer the first but am SO *( i cant think of a word strong enough to accuratly protray across my anger/sorrow/rage/disgust)* about it im more then willing to settle for the later.

us Israelis are finally accepting the fact that violence goes nowhere

That's so cute, what are you doing everyday ? Just kidding with the palestinians ?

Sat in the train amsterdam this morning. Everybody was reading the newspapers (Spits!, Metro). There was such a strange quietness. No chatter whatsoever. It was clear everybody was thinking about the same thing.

I lost almost an entire day watching CNN and other news channels. Now I'm having a hard time catching up with my homework.. :hmm:

There are cellphone calls from survivors inside the rubble of the WTC.

3 head officials in the NYC Fire Department are missing and presumed dead

When I went to sleep last night they were estimating the death-toll at the pentagon to be around 800

We (my Girlfriend and I) Know alot of people that work at the pentagon. There is 1 that is still missing. Every one else we know got out but some are in the hospital

At emergency Triage centers in NYC reporters were asking why they wernt seeing the number of injured people that they were expecting. One rescuer told the reporter that this was because they are all dead

Entier Fire Companies in NYC are missing

No hard numbers are being given as to the death toll but it is assumed by all to be in the thousands

Last night, when the congress sang "God Bless America" on the capitol steps, I wept

My Girlfriend watched as the plane hit the pentagon

I saw the plume rise over the trees and waited in fear for the news to report what that plume of smoke was.

Yesterday we heard sonic booms as Fighter Jets flew cover over head

I grew up and still live under the flight-path of planes entering or leaving Dulles Airport. Last night was the quietest I remember with no planes in the sky

Last night a friend was attacked at a stoplight because she looked Arabian

My friend who is of Turkish decent is afraid to leave his home and wants people to refer to him by an Italian name in the near future
he is also on the virge of abondoning his faith in Islam

Last night I voluntarily went to church for the first time in years and REALLY prayed.

From this day forward, Pearl Harbor will be a secondary tragedy in American history and our children will remember yesterday first.

God help us all

Some news

A Pakistani newspaper ... reported that bin Laden had denied responsibility for the attacks.

“The terrorist act is the action of some American group. I have nothing to do with it,” the newspaper Khabrain quoted bin Laden as saying, through “sources close to the Taliban.”

So please cool up from things like this:

From Holland all support, lets waste the islamic freakz

And please don't make the same mistake you made with the japanese in WW2 when they were forced into concentration camps that were placed by the US GOV!

Remainder:
All moslim countries have condemned this cruel attack...

Since almost every country in the world has condemned and offered their condoleances (sp?), even countries that usually don't like US..maybe this could be a start off something new..a new unity in the future when hopefully the terrorists are something of the past..
My heart goes out to all those that suffered losses and to those that lost their life..
Yesterday will forever follow me..

I'll be spending most of the day waiting to hear if something else happens.

You have got to realize the importance of that fourth plane. Where was it headed? Well, I thought it was pretty obvious. The 4th hijacker(s) obviously didn't successfully hijack the plane; otherwise, I think something else in D.C. wouldn't exist. There's also reports that the hijackers requested some sort of info on a flight plan to D.C.

Think about it: they hit our economy, they hit our defense. Now only one thing is left: our government buildings. The White House, the Capitol, and Supreme Court. All very subject targets. Where would we be right now had they hit one of those buildings?

I'm concerned now about flights that will be going when the FAA allows it sometime after noon EDT today. Wouldn't you think that they had some sort of backup plan in case one of their targets weren't hit? I'm not considering the threat gone by a long shot, and neither should any of you.

Wow! It was only a dream.

At least that's what I'd like to be able to say today. I live in New York and I go to school a few blocks down from what was the World Trade Center. Fortunatily however, my semester doesn't start for about two weeks so I only saw it unfold on Television. I could not believe what I was seeing happen to my city. I mean this is "twilight zone" level madness. Planes dive out of the sky delivering death from above, not once but twice as we and the nation watch it happen live? I was thinking "this can not be happening, this is a dream". I praise God that no one I know was harmed in this cowardly attack. The strange thing is that over the years I've had a lot of dreams about planes crashing into things or falling out of the sky so to see it happen live....well I didn't know what to say. As a result of those kind of dreams, I've always had a habbit of looking up when ever anything flew by over head while others took no notice. I always felt a little silly looking up as if I'd never seen a flying machine before but after this, I'm sure I won't be the only one...looking up.

Its so easy for you to say dont jump to conclusions about Bin Laden. But all evidence seems to point towards HIm. Sure its easy for you to say all this living all the way in Germany. If you were an AMERICAN you would feel the pain that our nation is now enduring. Many of our youth are enrolling in our military. Many will never get to say good bye to loved ones. Many will never know what really happended to those that were close to them. Im sorry to say it but, we have intercepted messages and when people of certain "ethnic" groups are dancing in the streets giving out candy praising the ones that did this saying they know 3 of there names....IM PRETTY GODDAMN SURE IT WAS THEM!

There is a sense of Unity in the air. And i say we take advantage of this and start kicking some ****ing ass.

P.s. OJ said he didnt do it to. I dont believe you people that believe Bin Laden. Hes just realizing he just started something he cant finish. hes scared as Hell, and i would be too.

officially the forth plane is missing, but i wouldn't be surprised if they already blew it out of the sky, i mean, how can a plane of such size just vanish all of a sudden, not very logical, we'r not talking about a stealth bomber, we'r talking about a boeing!

1. The plane that was still in the air even after the 4th crash near pitsburg..what happened to it? No one has mentioned where it went.....

2.One side effect of this may well be another national depression for the US. probably a 50% reduction in air travel is being estimated (the air companys have catagorically said that if this happens none of them will survive)+ over a 200 Billion bill footed by the insurene companys(not including individual claims) + dreadfull damage to the tourist industries. :(

3. One thing that must be considered is that the right party must be fingered as the culprits for this atrocity otherwise the reprocussions will be even worse.

In my opinion this was too well organised to be a simple terrorist faction but that is by no means evidence....

4. On a different note its just been said that the terrorits were likly to have used microsoft flight simulator to plan the exact route for this operation, one wonders what the reprecusions of this may be....

Goes without saying but thoughts and support go out to the victims and the american people and as Blair has already said we stand with you in what you do as this attck was clearly on democracy as a whole.

All you have to do is smile!
the rumour of another plane in the air was just that... a rumour. flight 175 was missing, and the flight number of one of the planes that hit the towers was unknown. thus one plane got turned into two. Somehow that got translated to DC and people thinking another plane was going to hit the pentagon.

Hi, i'm back.
Bought 3 newspapers today, there was one showing a picture of a men jumping out of a window of one of the towers of wtc..
WHy did they show that pic? That was unnecessary..

I've been following news on Cnn a bit, heard that around 257 fireman were still missing.
9 people were rescued from the rubble, 6 firemen and 3 policeofficers. Mayor of NYC won't stop the search for survivors.. althought it may be a slim chance there are any :(
