  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. I'm not familiar with DM-DesertIsle but this is my first UDK map, just trying to see what I can do with stock assets...added some architecture and optimized performance a bit

Alpha gone wild. What? No, this thing sucks. I need to work on it more.

It's ugly, but it'll get there someday.

Working on a space-age map that will probably be a 4 - 6 Deathmatch map, and calling it DM-GalacticTemple. Should be pretty interesting when it's all said and done:

One of the side rooms of DM-GalacticTemple. You can definitely tell that this was originally going to be a Doom 3 map before deciding to make it a tournament arena instead:



You could tell I had to use Necropolis and LT meshes and textures here, or otherwise, if I tried going for Doom 3 textures and meshes here, Carmack would certainly have a friendly e-mail on my hands.

Here's the other side room. As you can see, I did try to go for that Doom/Quake influence with this map, trying to blend gothic and techno/space-age themes to this. All in all, for those Doom 3 fans that are converted to UT3, this may be a good map for that crowd:

Fixed that wading pool, and made it a slime pit.



I know that it's a dark map, it's influenced by Doom 3. This was a result of Liandri buying out the Phobos Division of UAC after that little outbreak of hellspawn.

Overall, this map almost would look like it was converted from the classic series to UT3, but...trying to keep it spooky in the alcoves, and make it look like it's taking place on Mars.

Nice map soulwax, would be good to have some higher grass or some bolders for a bit of cover perhaps... Love the premise.

Now that I'm back to a fairly normal/regular daily rhythm, I've started the work again on the personal little project I had to pause for a while. Originally HOLP material, but at this point will be a stand-alone little pet project. More will eventually be forthcoming.
It'll be my take on a vertical CTF level. (as I adore the concept of something like Vertebrae and all the old community levels with flags visible from one another)
