I play on T5K all the time and it usually takes me 2 tries to make it. It usually takes many people 2 tries. The easiest way is to stand on it and let someone else pilot it.

Screw tactics, I wanna see some neat stuff
Like Putting 8 grenades on the left rear wheel of your scorpion and let those explode while you jump off the cliff in Torlan, and get at least 170 Daredevil.
Or bashing 2 manta's into eachother and make em keep rising and rising, eventually into the skybox if you're lucky.
Lik jumping out of your Raptor whilst in the air, landing on a jumppad an shooting youself in the raptor again...
Yes, I'm sure everybody has seen that all before in the videos, but I want more of that. Like if you jump and look carefully, you can jump to the top of the central tower on a manta. Lots of tricks.... please?

if this has not been said...

you can fit three on the manta + a driver, so 4. do NOT ride on the wings, you will fall off. ride on the spine of it and crouch so you stay on. also, for sure let the last perosn there drive, no use jumping on a floating manta :)

re
well, in theory you could fit all 6 if you want on the manta...+ two on wings

Also, do not underestimate the power of a good Gib beam in the back by a teammate.
You know the platfrom in the base in Face(classic). Where the DoubleDamage is? With a lil'bit of practise, you could shoot another person on that platform, from the ground
ya man... or if your a low gravity fan you could just jump up yourself.

thats why i prefer low G waaaay better than reg grav. you can go to so many more places than just regular grav.

While in a tank, it's a good idea if only the driver gets out when a raptor begins to attack. The mini-gunner not only can damage the raptor significantly with the minigun (making it so the driver only needs one avril to take it down), but he also prevents the raptor pilot from stealing the tank if he ejects. Obviously, then, if you're the driver--you should be the one getting out and using an avril/shock rifle, as a decent raptor pilot is not going to be taken down with a tank shell easily, especially if he's hovering above you.

If you're a driver alone with no mini-gunner, just stay near the tank if you get out so you can easily get back in if the pilot ejects.

Every possible situation huh? Does it have the one I had yesterday on P3248-Beta(not sure on the exact number combination for the map name) where I was all alone in my Manta against 2 tanks and a Levi????????????

I just looked at your guide and its pretty good man. I could probably help you a little more with the Manta category if you want. I have managed to take out a few Raptors in mine :D

The Manta vs Manta is the exact same as Raptor vs Raptor. The easiest way to win either of those fights is to make passes right above your opponent. In the Raptors case you just shoot the missile, in the Mantas you just keep shooting the plasma. The only easy way for a Manta to hit another is for them to be right next to each other where you take some splash damage. I dont think Ive ever gotten into a Manta fight w/o losing some-alot of health unless it was a noob who just sat there and didnt move while shooting at me.

My tactic is to keep moving, and move FAST in manta vs. manta - and I get into this situation a lot. Trickery works best for me; strafe the enemy, then disappear. Rarely will I be followed, and they'll move on to an easier target. That's when I hit them.

Maybe against a noob, but I dodge missles (raptor & avril) more often than they hit me.

99.9% of people cannot dodge an avril in a manta. Especially if they are moving either straight towards it or any direction away from it.

Hmm...I think that the real amount is a lot lower, maybe around 50% (at least it is on the servers I play on; bots have a blind spot here). The hardest problem IMO is the time that's needed to aim, switch to the AVRiL (even when it's bound to a key) and fire. If you're not roadraged at this point, it's still possible that the missile hits the manta straight ahead of you, killing yourself too in the explosion.

ummm....if you are in the manta and someone shoots an AVRIL at you, it's not very likely (barring lag) that you will dodge it. Avril rockets can turn 180d three times in like 6 feet, the only way you can dodge it is if you jump right over it and land on the other side (because it can't turn sharply enough to account for that).

The Raptor rockets can't turn worth jack. They are easy to dodge in the manta.

I usually end up pancaked when I try doing that.

BINGO! Wait for them to come for you. look to the side. When they get close point the crosshair at the vehicle and lock on then fire. It should hit right in front of you. They have no time to react, try to jump out, try to dodge, nothin. Then all you gotta do is make sure the burned wreckage doesn't hit you.

Also realize that it's easy to dodge a manta. If you were engaged in a battle before you jumped out of the vehicle you know where the manta is. If you see the manta comming long ahead of time you should be able to dodge it. If they get close a quick shock or flak shot will push them enough to save you.

Remember every vehicle has strengths and weaknesses and you have to judge the situation to determine where you really want to be. Mantas are fast and can crush people, but their primary fire is hard to hit with. Use the primary to go after stuff like tanks and hellbenders or nodes. Past that they aren't good at much else except for crushing people. Use this knowledge to gain an advantage.

99.9% of people cannot hit me with an Avril within the first 3 tries :D.

but also its more like 50% that cannot dodge. Avrils are the easiest weapon to dodge IMO. It gets even easier the farther away you try to hit a Manta from. Shock works fairly well, Flak, RL. The best weapon is the shield gun. You just have to be pretty damn good to time it right to hit the Manta with it. Also I dont just run people over, im firing while trying to run them over so half the time I just shoot them to death cause of the splash damage.
