I think you could say that people will post here if and when they want to, just as you post if and when you want to. I also think it's fair to say that news will be posted as soon as, and whenever the team wants to share what they are doing at any given time, just as Jeremy is doing right now.

Just give it time. News will come.

All the same, if the team has picked an engine (with >90% certainty, say) it's very useful to know, as (respectable quality) community maps don't happen instantly... (well, unless you're Angelheart)

dont worry, the mod wont happen instantly too ;)

my personnal opinion, after what i saw of Ut2k4 and mods from the screens, it doesnt seems to be enough for inf. waiting more time to start working on a real powerfull engine is needed. we have to keep in mind that the new inf will last a few years (maybe 5 ) on the new engine. so it better be a good engine.

Thanks Strangelove, much appreciated posts, even though they really tell us, well, um, nothing. :D

Observation time:

#1: You just started modelling? Those are absolutely fantastic.

#2: Your title at SS is "Webmaster"? Or are we to take it then that you have accepted an additional duty? Lends itself to deep thought about the status of discussion regarding a new engine eh?

#3: You are modelling vehicles, although no decision has been made regarding a new engine or a new version of Infiltration that might in fact include operational vehicles?

#4: Interesting questions already posted, is this an indication that Inf might branch out slightly from a strictly "ground pounder" Infantry game to a mechanized Infantry/Aviation support game or something?

I appreciate the tantalizing previews if nothing more than renders. Great job. Fantastic job. As for the news, or SS "owing" news regarding a new engine, or complaining that the team doesn't post here enough, I could care less. When an issue has arisen, or I've had a question, I've PMd Beppo (as well as others not on the team), all of whom have been more than gracious to reply quickly and thoroughly. I'll play what I have now, happily. When there is news and it's posted, I'll read it. Looking forward to it. Not a requirement as far as I'm concerned, of a volunteer, unpaid team, providing a great, free mod.

I hope there's some UAZ jeeps or some Land Rovers in for vehicles as well (personally, I'm not a big fan of player controlled vehicles), because "Blackhawk and HMMWV only" combinaions in games is really getting stale in my opinion.

Yes, about a month ago now. Thanks :p

I have been texturing for a few years now and have pretty much always just taken on tasks that don't seem to be getting done.

Should be answered in the newspost.

Some more vehicles for you, this time a Fuchs and BTR-80. Again, both of these were modeled by Fenris.

Since INF I havent found anything like it.

I played a little AA:O but even now, there is nothing like INF was.

I hope everyone who remembers me is doing well, and Happy Holidays to all!!!

Inf still has a special place in my heart too. I wish you the best of luck with your next version. But until that point I'll keep myself happy with CS and R:TW. :)
