Ok thanks. I'll try on hard then, even though i'm kinda wary about the "easy game" comment, coming from the guy that keeps posting links for flash games on which i never get past the second level.

Just bought the game, and I'm going through single player with this mod too, and so far so good  Dunno if it's true or if it's my elitist no-crosshair attitude speaking, but I actually find it easier to aim down the actual sights :).
Quick question : are the modified damage values included in the latest version?

They should be, yes. I haven't gotten around to the tweaks I talked about a few posts up, as I got caught up in Devil May Cry and Katamari Damacy. If you need me, I'll be creating the Cancer constellation by rolling over dozens of crabs.

I like it so far, but the muscle tremor seems too much to me. It looks like the guy is drunk or something, can't he hold a damn pistol for 2 straight seconds without shaking his hand like this ? Would there be a way to make it progressive ? i mean the tremor effect would keep increasing as you stay aimed, and be reset when you lower the weapon. If not, you might consider reducing it a tad (perharps it's user configurable?).

I've advanced a bit in the game, normal difficulty, and I'm starting to have a hard time facing more than three enemies without wasting an impressive amount of ammunition :p. Muscle tremor seems indeed slightly exaggerated, even if I like the concept of building oneself a firing stance, but I'm talking in relation to the enemies and situations you get to face in HL2 singleplayer ;)

Ok here's a question for you coding god : how difficult would it be to make HL2 playable in multiplayer coop ? I'm not talking about redesigning the whole gameplay balance, but something that would just let 2 people wander in the same map, without any consideration of script inconsistencies that may occur (for example when a player activates an event that the other should not see). Of course, to allow players to switch to the next map at the same time, maybe only one of them should be able to trigger the level change (the second player would then respawn right next to the first one). This is just a dream i have, i wish it could be part of IAGM...

There are multiple HL2 Coop mod attempts out there. Apparently the player models/animations/ect don't work online, so there's a fair amount of work to be done.

Make a new shortcut to the .exe and add "-developer" at the end in the shortcut's properties. Or was it "-console", without the ""'s? I just got out of bed, but my brain is still asleep.

Yes, please.
Damn, this is pretty cool. I just got HL2 (with my new AMD rig) and fired ISAP up on the beach map for 2 minutes and shot up some aliens. The pistols seem particularly life like; the .357 really 'feels' like a revolver the way it jumps. I haven't even played more than about 20 minutes into vanilla HL2 yet, so I don't have any real in-depth comments, but it's deffintiley cool. I wish every single player FPS had a shooting system like this, particularly after playing the FEAR demo. Games like FEAR and Doom 3 are just crying out for iron sights and realistic waver/recoil.

Wow! I love that idea. A game called A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. sounds like it would be fun and full of modern videogame satire and cliched over-the-top badguys and completely useless powerups littering almost every corner.
