First of all, i have good things to say about UT3, and i have been saying them all along, there are things i definately like about the game, that's why i say things like "It had so much potential", it's just that there is sadly also way too many bad things to say, and people only focus on the negative things i say, so they can brand me a "hater" and try to dismiss my arguments that way
Secondly, i can play UT3, like i said, what i have is some strange memory crash, if i remove 2 sticks of RAM from my system it will actually run, and i have played it, and quite a few maps and mods, but, having to perform "hardware surgery" every time i want to launch a game is not enjoyable (more so because i also have to remove my vid-card and a fan just to get to the RAM), and i don't find the game good enough to warrent that kind of hassle just to launch the bloody thing, and all my other games run better when i have all my RAM installed, so im not willing to permanently remove them either. And honestly, such a problem should not even exist allmost two years after the release of an "AAA" PC title, it's just sad..
That's not a problem with UT3, that's with your PC...
Although I don't think anyone has the energy or will left to find the real problem. Too many technical problems, guess that what makes consoles so attractive, if there's a problem, finding the solution to it is much easier since everyone has the same machine.
Can you recreate the crash or is it random?
The end of the log file when UT3 crashes?
Your operating system? 32bit or 64bit?
Is you operating system updated(Vista SP1 or SP2?)
How much ram you have exactly?
What graphics card you using?
What driver version you using?
