Looks like Ohio goes to Bush. That should do it. In the struggle between the idiot and the corpse, the idiot wins!

Something's strange here. The late exit polls and ballot counts don't agree. Florida, Michigan and Ohio were to vote for Kerry :con:

    [Edit] Alaska too ? :con:

that's because it's a gigantic conspiracy to get Bush elected and make it feel like the previous non-victory all over again.

(too bad that Bush is too stupid to think of this, so there must be an alien intelligence involved)

JaFo; wouldn't an alien intelligence want to stay as far away from Bush as possible? ;)

perhaps his mind is like a gigantic black hole that prevents any intelligent thought from leaving ?

Then again ... one never knows what aliens are thinking, that's why they're alien intelligences after all. ;)

Exit polls are run by the media. That should be all you need to know.

To expand on the point, polling data suggested a dead heat in Colorado in 2000, Bush ended up winning by 9%.

Something I saw early yesterday or the day before (possibly polling data) also suggested Kerry would take Ohio. :(

I still think it should be the popular vote and just leave it at that. So, in my mind, Gore won 4 years ago and Bush won last night. Doesn't look like Kerry has enough in Ohio anyway. I'm just glad it's not Florida.

On a lighter note, I heard something on the radio this morning. "America has spoken and they hate snowboarding, but love unwinnable wars" ;)

I don't think any of us thought he would be great, just rational, reasonable, competent, and sane.

    Yes dear.

I suggest that John Kerry declare himself President of the Coasts, and let George Bush rule over the central and South states. That way, everyone can finally agree.

Bush has 136,000 popular vote lead in Ohio.

They have 135,000 provisional and other votes to count.

Kerry would have to get 100% of those votes to even contest Ohio, because Bush's lead is a little too high there. It's statistically impossible for Kerry to win Ohio.

There are other ballot numbers still to be submitted. But the big Democratic strongholds in Cuyahoga and Hamilton counties have already submitted their provisionals. So I can't imagine there being any more than 175,000 provisional ballots to count. And even if some 90% of those are validated, Kerry would still need 86% of the vote. Provisionals won't be counted for the 10-day period they use to validate voters, but once the actual number of ballots are in, I'm sure Kerry will use statistics and some of that "statial logic" and determine the lead is what our attention-whore Scretary of State Blackwell likes to describe as "statistically insurmountable".

I have exactly one thing to gloat about on this day of a somewhat-victory for Bush.

    Michael Moore.

YOU MADE A MOVIE, RELEASED A BOOK, WENT ON TOUR, GAVE AWAY GIFTS FOR VOTER REGISTRATIONS (hint: illegal), MADE CD'S, TOOK YOUR CAMERAS TO FLORIDA, SLINKED OFF TO OHIO WHEN YOU COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING JUICY, AND DESPITE YOUR MONUMENTAL EFFORT, BUSH GOT THE LARGEST POPULAR VOTE COUNT EVER. EVEN MORE THAN RIGHT-WING DEMI-GOD REAGAN!!! IN YOUR FACE, YOU FAT DISGUSTING LIAR! HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

We now return you to your regularly scheduled fair and honest discussion of relevant issues...
