As for the XM8? Who gives a shit. It wasn't very well researched at all, and it doesn't belong in INF because of that. For Christs sakes, he used the redeemer reticle for the reflex sight. Call me crazy, but I don't think people should be modeling guns unless they: 1) Have an outstanding amount of reference materials and 2) Have actually held / fired the weapon they are working on.

I am positive Duke was cheating in 2.86 now. In retrospect, Duke was the top player in RAv2, hands down. You can say madwoffen, etc all you want. Duke was the man. Then 2.9 was released and suddenly he dropped off the scene... or so we think. Now I believe what he did was play under aliases until he had the ability to recreate another hack. I know this because briefly before my absence for the past 2 or 3 months, no one said a word about Duke. No one said "omg he is too good" he just got killed and died like the rest. Suddenly, I come back midDTASAL (shortly after the WP 1.2 release) and suddenly everyone is crying about him. Hmmmm

Nah, I clearly remember he wasn't that good before TAS. Here's a quick capture from my screenshot stash. AFAIR, he got really "good" around TAS.

Ok, his accuracy is pretty good. But in these days, lamerz, madwoffen or midwinter (or even me) were often on top. With the "new" Duke, you couldn't even dream about the first place (frag-wise).

Whatever man. Stupid argument, but I dont remember EVER being killed by you, rarely be midwinter or madwoffen, and ALWAYS by duke. I began playing may 2001, roughly around 2.85 and then shortly after I started playing 2.85.5? (or was it 2.86 next) was released. Perhaps it was my playstyle that he countered so effortlessly, or perhaps you just never played the same times duke usually played (since you live in europe), either way, nice screenshot... memories... ahh. (ill spank any of you now, bring it on BEOTCHES!)

Actually it is a mod of the M67 hand grenade. M203 are not modified from what I see.

Sure, you activate using a grenade, but the effect on the end-user is (or appears to be) the same as launching a 203 nade. But granted that it was speculation on my part that when Taque was launching 8-10 nades a round with great accuracy and able to move at more than a crawl (i.e. not actually carrying 8-10 nades) he was cheating.

Anyway, that doesn't matter now. Let's just clean up the code and move on.

I would also add that whoever it was who said it doesn't speak for everyone in calling the individuals in question 'faggots' (*spanish accent* I do not think that word means what you think it means).

NT, I don't believe Duke was the best back then either. Although I do agree that he was cheating. Except for the obvious map bug abusing that he did, he also abused every other lame strategy there could be abused in TAS. That said I had my suspicions of him being able to see what was happening behind him, but without proof it's worth nothing. And I don't like thinking about it either.

That, and Duke would often get raped. Even though he's a cheater, I am confident he is also extremely dumb. Someone like midwinter would easily win, without the use of wallhacks that is.

Second, the funny demon egg was a more or less impresive function. It's not just a redeemer, it's just a kind of guided view and a dukenade spawned when it hits an object...
I want to say that the guys who were gunned down by a m203 just met their "normal" skills

:Edit: A funny sideeffect of this hack is that you don't really throw a nade. You only need one at start of turn and you can throw endless "dukenades" (This word has a new meaning now, i think )

:edi2t: I can't nade myself, so i can't see the message given to you. Anyway, it just spawns an actor "class'dukeNadeShell'", which seems to be a m203, not m67. I think it doesn't really matter..

No trust me it was him. Im not stupid, and getting kicked 5 times in a row in a single map is the work of that hack, not UTDC. Look at post #2, it clearly shows he kicked Vlad repeatedly in one map (probobly cause Vlad was kickin his ass).

It may be 'activated' in the hand grenade (which are always in a player's possession) but the guided thing itself spawns an explodes an ordinary 40mm at impact.

ah you're right yurch. I missed that detail. It's a dummy guide camera that spawns a 203 explosion on impact.
