SkywardFire isn't exactly one of the most adrenaline-inducing UT songs ;)

Plus, everyone's already downloaded v2 (including those on 56k) and in my opinion it's kinda pointless to make everyone download it again just for the music, considering we don't play instagib and a lot of people play with music off anyway.

If everyone wants it though, I'll upload it to the server.

Fun games tonight everyone! It was a blast! I really liked INV specifically since it was my first time playing it online and it was a lot better than when I had tried it w/ the bots in 2k3. Is the version of colawars that's on the server some other version that was made for UT 99? Cause I've never seen that level layout since I thought there was only one version of colawars that was made back in the day. Anyways, it was a lot of fun! Thanks for the great games :)

Yeah guys, great games. I had more fun then I usually do, as the players were as much fun to talk to as they were to play. Double Domination was hella fun.

GGs all. Sorry about me making all the noise over TeamSpeak during Maul. I just downloaded it and was trying to get the mic setting so I wouldnt have to shout in order for it to pick my voice up.

Yeah, this version of Colawars is a bit different from the UT version you may remember.

gg's to all.

One thing I've noticed over the past few weeks is that there are a LOT of new players at FragBU. Some of them don't seem to know what to do exactly and we need to figure out a way to help them.

My first thought is getting on the mic (TS or in-game) and trying to direct some of the action in team games, but I can't do it because I have a sleeping 16 month old in the room next to me when I play. :) Anyone that can step up and do this? I think there are a number of players that could benefit from hearing some general direction.

Or, just try to take some time out of 'owning' the other team to teach them some stuff. Lots of games are close and are fun, but some are just blow-outs and are an exercise in frustration. We're generally pretty good about switching up (sometimes to a fault) but I can see some people getting overrun by the masses.

Anyone who had lockups in JB-Arlon-Gold

the game froze on me during the turning prizoners into skeletons animation, like you posted in the jb forum. The screen freezes, and the sound is in about a 1 second loop. That had only happened to me one time before, when I killed somebody using secondary link, and it was right when the player turned into a skeleton.

Off course
Couldn't stay very long, but to be honest: I didn't enjoy it that much. I found the choice of maps quite terrible last night. It was either CTF, Assault (yep, the same two maps), and an occasional map I would rather avoid (conduit!!!).
With the exception of JB-Cosmos, I was completely on automatic pilot. There was barely anything new to try out, because I already knew exactly what had to be done. I'm glad Slayr enjoyed conduit, but to me it was 'pick up flak cannon, rush to bottom node, touch node, spam at defence a bit, die, repeat'. :(
Don't get me wrong: ketnar is still the best server around to hang out in, but why does it have so many custom maps? Most of them just gets voted a couple times 'to check it out' and then forgotten.

Had some ggs tonight, the only one that stands out though was Arid (I love that map).
If I was into gambling, I'd bet that if I (flagcarrier) was in the strait and narrow, Haarg would somehow manage to steal my flag only a fraction of a second before I capped.
demo | midly intense and a close game. @ the "denied" near the end.
