Well, technically... If you go by what some older FragBUers have said when complaining about FragBU not being fun anymore, those seven people surrounding their flag carrier should try to team-telefrag each other and commit suicide in various humorous ways to have fun and even out the teams. :p

What am I supposed to do now when the EFC is surrounded by 7 enemies? :(
Ehm...call for backup?
Stay at a distance and spam the area?
Go get their flag?
Congratulate their teamwork?
Take out the one carrying a flag?
Stop wondering with 'what if...' and deal with likely situations?

Just a couple ideas ;)

Wow that is probably one of the most exaggerated things I've ever seen.

Teamwork IS fun, deemer camping then killing six people at once with it and returning the flag is NOT fun.

Humorous things are supposed to be spontaneous. Even in 2k3 we weren't just goofing off all the time and doing silly things. We were serious more times than we were goofing off. But the thing is that spontaneous goofy stuff happened fairly frequently in 2k3 and it doesn't seem to happen hardly at all/rarely in 2k4. It's probably more the mindset of those playing than the event itself.

Like Brizz said, it wasn't so much that we were constantly goofing off, it was more just having a little fun while playing. I think a lot of it was due to people using TS and there were a good number of people in the same clans that actually knew each other.

Having said that, I think FragBU is getting better each week. We have some very good players and also a lot of new players. My only suggestion to improve it would be to try and take a little time out to help the new players. Scumgrief was kind enough to show us a neat little camping spot on TokaraForest last night and it's little things like that that you won't get on a regular public server.

As far as super weapons... yeah, they're fun to use - no doubt. All I can say is give it a shot and see. It's really not as bad as it sounds and it doesn't effect the game as much as you might think.

Perhaps with no SW and a few lessons on teamwork for the new players, we'll make more of the matches even more competetive.

You throw your hands up in the air, yell "Screw this! I'm on your side now!"
Then proceed to start going after your ex-teammates.

Agree  This last week there was lots of people on TS and the games were really fun. I was thinking of staying for Jb but I had already been playing too long. I completely agree that FragBU is getting better for me week by week.

To SW: They are still in JB, AS, and ONS so have fun with them in those gametypes! :) CTF and BR without superweapons is alot more fun and alot faster paced. You have to always be on the ready. The only other thing I could hope for is that Adrens will be turned off in CTF and BR as they also kinda ruin the pace. It's more intense when the gameplay REQUIRES the use of teamwork versus just randomly spamming any certain area that you want.

Maybe Raffi could put a link to TS on the main FragBU pages like this underneath the maps with the warning "TS or BAN!" next to it. That ought to get people using it. :D

Finally found the 'Deemer in ColaWars... Props to Worf for hiding it so well his beta testers didn't find it! ;)

Meh, my friend backed out because he decided it wasn't worth it to pay $15 for one band that probably wouldn't be that great live and have to deal with a sea of 12-year-old girls there to see C&C. It's a shame... I was gonna start a pit in all those pre-pubescent girls just for the hell of it too. :( It would have been hilarious to see how many of them started crying because they got kicked or punched or Richmond-VA-circle-pitted on! Oh well. Saved me $15! They probably wouldn't have played any of their old stuff anyway, except maybe "When the Sun Sleeps." There's a Bleeding Through, Martyr AD, It Dies Today show next Sunday, but I probably won't be able to make it due to my home town being 3.5 hours away from my school and me having an 8am class on Monday... That really pisses me off. When I'm home, there's never any shows I want to go to, but as soon as I leave for school, all the bands start playing RVA...

Could not agree more. Over the past month or two, I've complained about folks playing to own everyone else, but there was little playing to have "fun." Here recently though, there have been more and more spontaneous things done to make the game more fun, such as SG fights with Zynthetic, SlayerDragon raining down goop on my head in Citadel, and shooting the Goliath at a teammate just to see them fly across the map.

And, as always, I can't emphasize enough how people need to get on TS. On Friday night we had a lot of fun there for a while (ask SlayerDragon what sound cockroaches make, or ask Brizz what REALLY happened at that party). If no one is there or talking when you join, then idle there for a while. Someone will be around soon.

hahaha...

that was incredibly funny.

TS is almost more important than playing.

That sucks dude. But yeah, it probably would have sucked with all the C&C fans. They wouldnt know what the **** hit them if they played Angel Below or somthing, lol  Shame what happened to the band, there is only 1 original member right? Their older stuff rocks....
