This might be helpful (for the red subtle texts.)

For instance here that "Bring the HEAT!" means the firehawk has a chance of "explosive". I can tell you that when the effect occurs, it really is big. Just to say it makes sense.

Also I liked that one: "Why don't you go shoot yourself an Elephant?" - Massive damage sniper, no scope.
I wished there would be more of these around, I yet have to see another one than the Big Game Hunter (Skagzilla) quest. And of course the Ridder. But that weapon is weak for when/where it is found.

I'm pretty sure that the 93.6% accuracy is with the 41% accuracy boost included. Combat Rifles are usually fairly inaccurate; Hyperion guns ingame tend to have very tight accuracy. (The shop even says something to this effect.) It's certainly NOT 132% accurate - shots can miss by small degrees - but until I found that Sniper Rifle, it served me really well in a pinch sniper role. It's still my major midrange weapon - it delivers crits quite a deal, and with a 3-round burst, that's a large hunk of health taken off.

Of course, it's nothing like my Liquid Sniper, which can do in excess of 2000 damage on a crit. Yikes.

I'm sure I'll find better gear eventually, but it's going to be tough to replace those guns for awhile. The Deathly Cobra I've had since about Level 13 or 14 or so, and for the most part it is still my workhorse - a testament to its accuracy and good, solid punch.

Oh yeah, that Sniper Rifle once in a great while gets swapped out with a Rocket Launcher if it needs to be. I've only needed that once in-game that I can recall, though, so it's not listed. (To be fair, that was also when I had an inferior sniper rifle, too.)

I had a 3000 crit on some poor dickface midget a few nights ago, and nailed an 8000 crit last night in the Last(Lost?) cave, all with the same shotty that I will post on here when I get home. Course the 8k might be because sluggies are weak against shotguns or something.

The most important stat by far is accuracy. It's all I really look at anymore. Fighting close up in this game is just a poor choice 95% of the time (unless maybe you're Brick; I dunno, I'm playing a Soldier). If you're not getting critical hits you're wasting your damn time, and to aim for head properly you need accuracy.

I'm still using a combat rifle with a measly 74 damage and an SMG with an even measlier 51, because they're both scoped, very accurate, and the SMG does extra damage on crit. This is at level 32 when I have a combat rifle in my backpack that does 154 damage, but I just don't find myself using it very much.

It's good to have a launcher around to take care of the f*&$# turrets, even if you don't use them very often otherwise. The Soldier with the Support Gunner skill can regenerate ammo for it as fast as he can use it up, so you can spam away. :D

Whitting's Elephant Gun rocks. I used it until it became too hard to ignore the fact that better snipers were available. :)

I am sure he's just too busy to post. :)

Heh, I have been busy. I haven't skimmed this thread for the last few days until now.

What was the question?

edit:

So why doesn't it show the 132% anywhere?

Wouldnt anything over 100% accuracy be worthless?

Confusing. :(

I don't know. I had nothing to do with how the weapons stats worked. I can't imagine a number over 100% being worthless, but I'm not sure how it adds up.

 What the hell... so random.

It was a response to TWTW's post, making up a game that he could be working on.

I really like this game so far. Elemental effects on weapons really seem to make the difference and I have a nice shock revolver that is great for blasting down a shield and then putting the hurt on a guy with the ticking damage. I think I'm going to respec Brick and take out a bunch of points I dropped into the Tank tree because the only useful ones seem to be the top two.

I'm playing as Brick right now. I have been going down the middle tree, right now I have 40% resistance to damage for 10 seconds whenever I kill something which makes going berserk awesome. I can beat the crap out of alpha skags pretty easy.

I also got three skill artifacts, shock, explosive and incendiary, which all own the crap out of stuff :)

13 Soldier (solo) and 17 Siren (coop).

Is it just me, or are good smg's really, REALLY rare?

I mean, 100+ dmg weapons in every other category (11x43 shotties, 3x39 x2 fire repeaters).. But the BEST smg I've gotten yet is a measly 46dmg..
