What the hell.

Oh and GameSpy is Darkdrium777 for this game too (As it is incorrectly stated in the first post). Apparently UT3 is the only one that will work with Darkdrium. o_O

so is it you that wants to play at this pace?
or this is a problem for one of your buddies during coop?

sorry but the wording in your post is slightly confusing.

Right. Both. I was curious to know if anyone else was really all about rushing this game like Zerglings. It's not really a problem for me, it's more a problem for some people I've been playing with.

somewhere; sometime?
I find that I play Borderlands like I play Fallout 3 or something of the sort.
slowly.
when I'm alone.

when it comes to singeplayer, I play a game like some people read a book.
I take my time for the sake of enjoying the experience, sort of like trying to immerse myself in the world as much as my imagination allows.

when I was playing it on 360 with friends, I played as fast as everybody else seemed to wanna' move. my buddies who play consoles are used to COD action so they tend to run n gun rather than spend too much time on their inventory and skill trees.

we sort of play like "hey that looks cool lets take it" and run, loot rules are loose, whereas I'll do more exploring and calculation when I'm on my own, I'll consider everything. you have bouts of great action followed by periods of time spent in menu screens.

haha so true for me too.

I recently found a sniper rifle that does 6 shots, 79 dmg and lights people on fire. So far I've been able to take everything out with it pretty quickly.

Also, criticals really help out.

That Badass Corossive Skag is lolwtfbbq hax worthy.

Alright, update time for me.

The boss I mentioned in my prior post was...

Bone Head, right next to Fyrestone
...and we had a heck of a time taking him down. But already the setup I used for that is now long gone and dead.

I sit here having made Level 25, and am currently decked out as follows:

Weapons:

  • ItemCard00003.png
  • ItemCard00004.png
  • ItemCard00005.png
  • ItemCard00006.png
Shield:

  • ItemCard00007.png
Grenade Mod:

  • ItemCard00008.png
Personal Ability:

  • ItemCard00009.png
Not bad for Level 25, is it? They're all great weapons for just about every situation. The shield keeps me in the fight (and the slow health regen takes care of just about my only weakness) while the Ability actually gives me, among other things, regenerating ammo. I don't have to worry about running dry. :D

Really? I had an easier time with him than Nine-Toe.

Just take refuge in the rafters on the left as you walk into his zone. You can just duck down and nothing is going to really come up there

Another minor annoyance: Anyone know why saving screenshots of the weapon cards produces a 1200x1200 bmp with the little itty bittty card in the center? While this is a cool feature I honestly wish it included a render of the gun as well :\

Alrighty, played the game online, got tired of timing out with joining other people. So I hosted instead, I know how to port forward, people joined pretty quickly, quite nice, though rush rush.

I mean, what about the accuracy stat in the weapon info? Some say, like, +40% accuracy. Then Accuracy says 89%. I'd guessed my base acc would then be around 64%.
However, when I get a weapon with +50% accuracy, I only have like 92% overall accuracy. It's not consistent :/
This is my understanding of it, could be completely wrong.

The base accuracy stat of the weapon is not a percentage - lets say it's 89. The +40% accuracy would boost that 89 to 124.6 (89+35.6). You may have other items or skills that boost the accuracy, maybe by 10% when using combat rifles, so you need to factor in those when comparing stats too.

Over there
That really doesn't seem reasonable. Why list the values and force you to calculate the actual accuracy? It seems more likely that the values listed like that are modifiers on the 'base' weapon of that type, and the stats listed already take them into account.

I guess that does make more sense. So the base accuracy of DP's weapon here would be 52.6? Would it show the same 93.6 if there were accuracy skills/mods involved? I should probably just look for myself, but I don't have the time to play right now. :p

edit: 52.6 is wrong, my maths is broken.

That doesn't make sense though. Why would you bother listing a modifier if it has already been added to the total stat? To me that is telling me the base is 93.6, and the modifier adds 41% more. Therefore his accuracy would be 132% if rounded off.

So why doesn't it show the 132% anywhere?

Wouldnt anything over 100% accuracy be worthless?

Confusing. :(

Well in a game like this I would imagine having over 100% accuracy means you can hit a fool from 300 yards away with a pistol and still score a critical. The only way this is going to be answered is if TWTW jumps in.
