I went with Lilith and am taking the elemental route to start off. Up to lv. 10, ID is FlashIV.

I must say, burning and shocking enemies with bullets is quite satisfying :)

I hope they get some consistency with their menus and input. It's not a deal breaker but it takes me out of the game when I have to pgup/pgdn or use the enter/esc keys since I have to take my attention off the screen and look at my keyboard. Drag-and-drop inventory would be nice too...seems like that would have been a no-brainer for the PC version.

I have a q6600/2gb RAM/8800GTS 320.

I'm running at 1024x768 because that is all my monitor will do, everything maxed out, 8xAA, 16xAF and I don't really lag anywhere.

Thanks Slain for the scroll wheel fix, makes the menu much better.

Since the L4D2 Demo decided not to work today, I'll be playing this tonight for sure.

I got pretty addicted to this game in 3 hours last night, but I've only gone up to lvl 13 in single player. Haven't been able to get into an online game but it would be great to meet up with a few BuFers for a couple days to play. Anyone down?

-Mouse sensitivity adjustment in game is awful. Even with Auto Aim turned off it still feels very "floaty" or there is a lot of mouse smoothing going on.
Combine that with the gamespy headaches everyone is having and you can count me out

Hell, floatymouse is one of the main reasons I haven't touched UT3 in weeks/months

I thought they fixed the floaty mouse with the Titan pack in UT3... It did for me, at least. Still wasn't worth playing, though. :)

Kinda annoyed with all these console-and Gamespy-based problems I'm hearing about Borderlands but I'm really not surprised. Still haven't played it and I'm not sure when I'm gonna get around to it given how busy this week has been. D:

If you turn mouse smoothing off in one of the ini's, it feels fine. At least it does for me...

Been playing it over LAN with HazelH most of today, so I can't really comment on any gamespy or lag issues. But the game is very good once you understand how the UI and various gameplay mechanics work. Which probably took me around 8-10 levels. Level 20 now, just unlocked the quick-travel system.

Edit: I can see this being a game I keep coming back to after I've finished it, if only to find new weapons and stuff, and to fully explore the world. If they keep adding content and patching the game after release, even better.

Yep. Gonna be a LONG game for me. I'm really really enjoying it alot.

Minus the first release bugs and quirks, it's excellent.

I think the first patch will be quite big, but worth it.

Yeah I definitely see myself keeping this on my hard drive for a while. I got my single-player character caught up to my multiplayer and it's a lot better experience now that I've got some of my keybinds straightened out and can actually play at my own pace. Putting melee and grenades on my thumb buttons = genius idea :)

I'm honestly hoping the first patch for PC irons out missing settings in addition to any other huge bugs that come along.

Ok now at level 14 with Brick and this game ****ing rules. I hope the bugs are patched mainly with online play. Been doing solo for most of the time.

I never got into WoW (1 cause I don't want to pay to play, and 2 just don't like the game too ****ing slow) However, at think at this point in time I can say I am addicted to Borderlands much like some get addicted to WoW. The RPG elements are great in this game. I found a nice sniper rifle w/97 damage. ****ing owning midgets and skags with that thing.

Just took down the roid rage psycho, that was a lot of fun and tense. I don't think I have experienced a boss fight like that in a while. I beat the living **** out of him with Brick's berserk mode!

I'm loving this game. Playing a soldier; once you put enough upgrades into the turret and start getting elemental mods for it, the thing just tears through baddies.

The amount of content is pretty solid too, if you count the side missions. I'm an obsessive completionist and I'm expecting around 20 hours at least for a play through based on how things are going so far.

Man, played some coop with a friend for like 6 hours straight. Rolled a Lilith character, made it up to level 18 in a single session, and we stopped right after killing Sledge.
Lucky me, my friend and I had different classes, and different weapon preferences, so we were just sharing all around. I'm using assault rifles, SMGs and rocket launchers while he uses the snipers, shotguns and pistols. He loves his exploding revolver.
Also lucky that I found a purple assault rifle when I was level 12, the thing does monstrous damage, I don't think we would've gotten through some of the sections without it. Loved the look and design of the area where you get the mine key.
And it's past 2 AM again, just like last night. It's too much fun!

This game is indeed awesome, and it became even more awesome when I purchased this $20,000 shotty that did a 3000 crit :D I will post a screenie of the shotgun when I get home, but I know I wasn't imagining that number. Also Sledges shotgun sounds awesome in theory, but the 0 accuracy and random as hell damage + slow reload make it sort of a showoff if anything. I did however manage to do an over 2000 normal dmg to a badass scag in one shot, but that is extremely rare.

Anyway my gamespy id is Capt.Toilet if anyone fancies to add me.

You get some crazy XP by doing multikills too I've found out.

I opend a toilet and got 1000XP.

Ran around the corner, killed 5 Skags and got 1000XP

Then took out 4 badguys all at once with a 4 pack of gernades and got another 1000xp.

Turned in my missions and got 3000xp. I leveled up twice in about 3 mins. It was really funny and I was really happy lol.

Those were challenges that you were doing. They are located on quest screen, an icon that looks like a pair of medals. Their is one where you run over 2000 skags and that gives you 20,000 xp.
