IMO there should be a tutorial and help category, that will reward those who put in time to help others.
On the long run that helps Epic, licensees, and just about anyone who is involved in the modding the scene.

A category like that would stimulate a lot of people to share their knowledge.

A better educated community will actually cost me money on the long turn, as they will pose a bigger challenge, making it harder for me to win whatever other category. If I wanted money, I would do better in shutting up and just taking all of my tutorials offline. No?

So again, a help category for just phase 1 would benefit modders in phase 2, 3, and 4. Education should be the first step.

Character creation isn't done using epics tools so why would they be required to give you a tutorial on it? As for the editor there are loads of tutorials on how to use it.

Part of it is done with Epic's tools, you need to put the model into the game afterall, and besides that, you'd think they would have an intrest in seeing people make content like player models, so it seem to make plenty of sense to me to describe what must be done for that to happen.

It's the engine aspect I'm talking about. You're right there are loads of tutorials out there on how to use the editor just very little to none on character creation.
I'm not asking for a tutorial on how to model a character and so on. I just wish there more documentation on that aspect of the editor available for the mod community.

....including Intel® Software Development Products and Velocity Micro PCs based on the Intel® Dual Socket Extreme Desktop Platform with two Intel® Core™2 Extreme quad-core processors...

Don't know why I didn't think to ask this sooner, but I'll go ahead and be late with it....

Will the promised computer prizes this time around, actually be the same as what is delivered to prize winners?

Last time around, members of the community who participated and won PCs, ended up receiving computers that were worth approx. half of what was promised/promoted. (did BU every do a story on that?)

It's a fair question.

I don't think we ever did a story because the computers got delivered about a year later than the contest or something silly like that :)

Hang on; this was announced in April and the deadline is June 2008? That's ridiculous.

Hey im doing TC and costume characters for this competition. Havent even started but i want to make it for this first phase for costume characters.

Some questions - would be nice if Epic them self can answer question 2
1. The skeleton rig is not in T pose is this correct? I just downloaded and the hands are down almost relaxed.
2. Wondering if i can do a remake of an already existing game for the TC. It will be specifically for this contest only, would this be against the rules. I have 2 games in mind, Tenchu and Resident Evil.
