Im not sure I understand how ballistics are done now, but it was interpreted to me as having a strait line with a bent tip.
why not just put more 'bends' in the line?

we've got no room for lobbing bullets at any kind of high arch.we rarely have shot a target past 300m on the current maps.
so instead of doing heavy bullet fall math for every shot, cant the bullet just follow a preset path with predefined damage levels over range?
would that be any easier on the system?
for zeroing sites, we dont need animations and all that for now.
just some kinda text warning reading off what its set to, and the bullet fired in the proper direction to correlate with that setting (still using the current site picture)
should work for those hard core enough to want it(?)
