I know you didnt mean it in that context vedder, but if I hear "die for your country" one more time, I'm gonna kill him (well, maybe not kill him). It disgusts me how we associate the army with "protecting the country", especially when it doesnt work that way. I frikkin hate it when people say that. If I fight for something, I'd fight for people who were opressed by another. For example, I'd have no problem killing off a bunch of israelis/pakistanis who are killing pakistani/israeli kids on the street, nor a troop of US soldiers who were on there way to flame a civilian vietnam villiage. I think the best armies are done that way. Labeling for political reasons are just plain retarded, and anyone who believes it deserves to be shot.
