I agree with Selerox and Anuban, etc. on this point. TossMonkey, it's too late to call it UT2 because the map file names for UT2003/2004 end with .ut2 and the ones for the new game will be .ut3. If you called it UT2 and the map names ended with .ut3, then it would be very confusing. I'll also be one to not upgrade my system until 2007, so I might be playing the new game on low detail for a while.

They said in the interview that they will be making it for PC and Xbox 360. I think that they are just leaving out the PS2/3/woteva

While this is a PC title as far as we know right now, I'm less concerned about the name and more concerned about those damn consoles taking away our favorite multiplayer online game.

That's why I hate consoles.

UT will never be console-only. The negative backlash from the community would far outweigh any advantage that MS or anyone else could offer.

As long as their PR makes out that it's built from the ground up again and designed to be easier to get into, understanding that the curve in the rpevious games was too much..
