I have friend/former co-worker who now works for L-3 Communications and is currently at Bagram airbase. He was working on the flight-line when the crash happened and saw it. He says it just missed a fuel depot and a parked Russian aircraft full of HAZMAT.
sounds about right.
you can clearly see numerous large fuel trucks parked in the lot near the end of the video. around 2:45 onward.

Probably nothing to do with the engines. It was an aerodynamic stall.
The aircraft was carrying five 32000 pound MRAPs and other stuff. It appears that some of the cargo broke free of it's tie-downs, slid towards the rear of the aircraft and screwed up the CG (Center of Gravity), causing the aircraft to pitch up violently. At that weight, even with engines a full power, the aircraft could not maintain enough speed to keep air flowing over the wings, and it simply fell out of the sky.
Here's a similar indecent that happened in 1970. The cargo shifted aft during the catapult launch...

That shit is scary, and yeah by engine stall I meant the plane stalled to the point where the engine couldn't support the plane weight and deal with gravity on top of it.
For pilots, I imagine there doesn't seem to be anything to do about it but let the gravity do the rest and end your days.
