Oh, EagleAR, I had to um... update the Upak.u file, the animation for the Spinner poison wasn't there, so I had to add the image files, as well as resave the upak. that makes it 10.6mb instead of 10.5.

The original Upak from unrealgold is 10.9, I'll try to find out what else is missing.

Does anybody know where I can get the Oldskool mod, I need it to save in Tournament right?

well some animated textures are missing ,because i didnt have any tool for extracting animated textures from *.u files at that time, now there are some tools to do that
u can update it but there r some other things in it which needed to be updated
eg: the upak weapons cant be used in coop games, & if anyone uses custom player class the game wont run properly

If you patched to RTNP 226, you will be
as close to UnrealGold as you can get.
The only difference is the Umenu.U is diffferent between versions and the only reason UGold and RTNP cannot netplay together.

If I can get the upak fixed up for UT, and everyone downloads it, (the fixes include net fixes, if any are needed, why would none be needed? I can use UT's net code), then it would place wonderfully.

Note to those trying to save: It's true you CAN'T save your game in oldskool, just use the single-player game item that appears in the mods menu instead. No mutators tho. :(

Incidentally, custom models work fine in RTNP on my Mac. The only problems I had we're that I named some files wrongly after searching through the .u binaries for a file name. Oh, I didn't mean that Macintosh uses 8 letter DOS filenames, just that it can't read the Windows VFAT filenames, cause they are an OS kludge, so I can only read the 8 letter DOS abreviated names on the UGOLD CD.

Hope that all made sense.

P.S. The grenade launcher secondary fire rules!! That would be a great addition to a UT deathmatch. Will the WORM mutator let me use them?

Only thing I'm having a problem with is the music. For some reason it doesn't play the old music, only UT music. I'm going to look into this and try to solve the problem though.

i got it to work in straight ut, music and all, before i tried it with oldskool. after i tried it with oldskool though, it stopped working in ut too. maybe i used a different player model though.

DRT-Maverick|BuF: there is one reason that it uses UT music sometimes.
like usaar uses a null music(silence) in oldskool, i have uses ut menu music, coz i dont have any blank music,
it plays UT music when there is silence in the game

Metakill: u can make any mutator of it, but the rtnp weapons cant be used in net games like unreal weapons, they will work only in singleplayer with bots

i know how to save it in oldskool,
but it can be done by usaar33 only, coz only he can modify his files:)
