Have you seen "The Road" with Viggo Mortensen? How would you rate this compared to that?
The Road is a masterpiece by comparison.

The Magic Triup-10/10
Magic Trip is a 2011 documentary film directed by Alison Ellwood and Alex Gibney, about Ken Kesey, Neal Cassady, and the Merry Pranksters.[1]

The documentary uses the 16 mm color footage shot by Kesey and the Merry Pranksters during their 1964 cross-country bus trip in the Furthur bus. The hyperkinetic Cassady is frequently seen driving the bus, jabbering, and sitting next to a sign that boasts, "Neal gets things done".[2][3]

The film was released in the US on August 5, 2011 by Magnolia Pictures.

The movie soundtrack includes excerpts from several songs by the Grateful Dead.

I totally into the whole history of the counterculture. I totally enjoyed this flick. Amazing archival footage.

Black Widow-7/10

The impression I got was that this was a very different take on an Avenger's character side story. Really goods action but had plenty of plot.
Yeah, I can go right along with that rating. I quite enjoyed it.The action was good, Yelena Belova was awesome, and the story was pretty decent. I like the character really well despite the fact that she's not a super-human and doesn't have some amazing tech or anything.

Agreed. They need to stop doing this whole character by another name trope like what was done with Mandarin in Iron Man 3

The Suicide Squad-7.5/10

A much more entertaining two hours than the first one. Hard core action with some good humour too.

I did think the plot slowed down a bit too much in the second act but overall it was a lot of fun. The music in it worked really well too...

Marvel Studios makes a Hong Kong kung fu/fantasy movie!

Being a total fan of martial arts films I thought this movie rocked on about every level.

Music wasn't great but the action was......

Zack Snyder's Justice League - 8/10

I really enjoyed it. It did not seem like four hours to me. WAY MORE cohesive than that theatrical one from 2017 (which I intially gave a 7.5 but the score kept getting lower the more I thought about it).

I didn't give it a 10 because somehow that singing during WW scenes became annoying as hell, and (even though I understand why) I wanted more Superman scenes.

DOPE. Definitely seeing it. Also seeing just because of Brad Allen (RIP) the stunt coordinator.

Eternals-6/10

For me this movie didn't quite make it and, if you don't know the original comics, it's probably going to be a hard watch for an audience.

There's no spoilers in saying that it's yet another bunch of aliens from a comic book series started in 1976 who come to the Earth and have god-like powers. (And yes; we're looking at you DC Comics Superman). It's a Chariots of the Gods playbook that has been well covered over the years and the original comic series only received lukewarm reviews back in that day.

The main issue for me in the movie is the lack of clear historical backstory in flashback scenes, too much exposition of the characters in other ways which still don't really cut to the chase. In effect the movie is long but for the wrong reasons....

And for me some of the charterers are miscast, particularly Angelina Jolie's (A)Thena. I have nothing against Jolie as an actor, she's good, but I just don't get her as Athena. It seems like she was put into the role because the flick needed some star-power behind it. There must be some other actress who would have better suited the part.

And Barry Keoghan as Druig just doesn't work for me at all.

As always the special effects are at the level we have come to expect from Marvel Studios.

But while the script attempted to link the Eternals' story with other story arcs in the Marvel Universe those attempts were underdone and tenuous at best; and generally not well explained either.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage-8/10

I couldn't find much wrong with this flick.

Unlike some other Marvel flicks that end up stalling the momentum of the film with either too much, or misdirected, backstory (I'm looking at you Eternals) this was a tight ninety minutes of action.

Also it has some comedy and that's well done too.....

Dune-10/10

I'm giving this a ten because they didn't screw with the overall concept and narrative; nothing was taken out or put in.

Also the movie looked and sounded the goods so I can't ask much more of a screen adaptation of the book.

Spiderman: No Way Home-10/10

Clever, entertaining and engaging. I wasn't expecting a lot from the film after seeing the trailers but, for once, the trailers didn't give away how good this film is. A great addition to the Spiderman universe.

There's a spiderman movie I'd probably love to watch but the studios would never make it.
It would be about an older spiderman man. Played by Michael Fassbender. He'd wear the dark suit, but not because he's
ultra emo or it's an alien etc. Just a transitional phase in his life. No drama, not really about fighting villains. Just something different.
But they'd never make that type of movie.

Possible title would be either "web of spiderman", but that would proabbly be too difficult to remember for most so they'd abbreviate it to sp:wosp. Maybe...
Or simply "Peter Parker".

The Matrix/Reloaded/Revolutions-10/10

No matter how many times I've seen these films I still enjoy them and get a kick out of them....... so ten.

The Matrix Resurrections-10/10

Because if they had to reboot the franchise at least they did it justice. I've seen it twice and it's been hugely entertaining. So ten........

Moonfall-5/10

These types of films from this director are getting pretty formulaic. If you took Deep Impact, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow and added a deus ex machina threw it in a blender you would get this flick. Good special fx aren't enough to sell a film these days.

I've been watching movies with rifftrax comments. The ones I've enjoyed most are "birdemic", "rollergator" and "Rotor". All very, very bad movies. These guys riff them apart with brilliant comments, jokes, stabs, puns etc.
It's on par with mst3000's thep umaman.

The Batman-10/10

Chris Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy really brought Batman back to where Batman always should have been. That is a corrupt city in a corrupt world inhabited by sociopathic and psychopathic criminals and a vigilante with questionable motives.

The Batman takes this even darker and deeper. I was totally immersed in the flick for all of what is three hours of movie. For a comic book vigilante the film really resonated with real world vibes.

The music was also very good as was the action and the look of the world.

My opinion: Brilliant. Possibly the best Batman yet as it is the most old school comic book Batman with evil that could come out of a lot of serial killer movies.

Totally intense.....
