Official INF 2.9 Bonus pack announcement 2 month old today

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. The carcass 'name' (unknown if enemy) will be displayed in your QA Pickup menu. This menu is new and similar to the equipment and drop ammo menu within the voice/qa menus. You can use the pickup menu to select a single item out of a pile of stuff lying around. This way you don't need to pickup the whole pile of weapons to finally grab the ammo mag you wanted to pick up cause it is lying below them for example. The pickup menu is working fully online.

The carcasses are displayed as 'pickups' and if you click on them, then all items the player had in his loadout at the moment he died will be listed. This does not include the dropped items of course. The admins can configure which items to drop. So, if they would turn of the drop all weapons/ammo params, then only the player attachments that were visual (weapons slung, chested aso) would be dropped and the 'rest' would stick to the carcass' inventory.

Unfortunately this extra inventory and carcass check needs some additional coding to get it working online properly. Atm the carcasses inventory is not yet replicated properly it seems and I haven't had the time to check this out yet.

LOL, I just found out about the bonus pack, as I've been away from Inf all summer. I think it hilarious that they're adding the 1911. HAPPY NOW DOMINO!?!!!?!?!

Anyway, I'm happy to hear the news, we can all finally stop bitching about the lack of battle rifles and all the other fan moans that have been persisting over the last 3 years.

Battle rifles fire full size rifle ammunition (eg 7.62x51mm NATO) while assault rifles are selective fire rifles that fire intermediate (light) rifle cartridges (eg 5.56x45mm NATO) in order to facilitate rapid fire.

Well, Sentrystudios News has some info that may make some people happy. Some guys from the 121st are testing the bonus pack and:

"Hopefully we will get it all tested and ready and can finally release it to you within the next week or two."

Actually, 3DRealms approached us to complete the Inf Bonus Pack while we focus on "the next thing". They said it should be ready really soon... :D

its because of people. but people usualy come back in mid september ;)
