Does anyone here know of any places that offer a sensor cleaning service in London? My K20D's sensor is starting to get a bit dirty and I'd rather not give it a wet clean myself (already tried using a blower).

- I appreciate that a lot of users are in the US so I don't expect a huge number of replies.

I would look in your phone book and call some local repair shops. Find out if they do sensor cleaning and how much they charge. You can do it yourself for a lot less. With a little patience and as long as you don't press hard against the sensor, you will do just fine.

Don't use a can of air. Most of them leave a small amount of oily residue which can make your cleaning duty much more difficult.

I don't mind the amount of head room in the first picture. What I do mind is that he is cut off awkwardly on the side. In the second shot, he is cut off too high. I think cutting off at the waist would have made for a better composition.

I absolutely agree, but the truth of the matter is that I cut off the back of a head there. I wasn't exactly in the best of positions to shoot pictures...

I quite like the way you've left alot of head room there. It's something you don't see everyday and it makes the photo more unique and interesting from my point of view.

It makes a little bit of sense to leave that extra room for that flag/symbols at the top. It doesnt make any sense for the second photo.

If photojournalism you have ask yourself "is this extra space news worthy? Does it help tell the story any better than what is at the bottom?

With people photography you have to ask yourself if the empty space adds to the emotional appeal of the photograph.

Of course you can just break all the rules and confuse everyone. LOL I like breaking the rules as long as it looks good.
