Sensor noise? (or, please don't start another redhead thread!)I detect freckles in those pics, Mike. Is she a redhead?![]()
GSABrochure said:Students are provided with a 35mm camera for the week and will be introduced to camera handling and dark room techniques.
You will take a number of shots, thinking about composition and exposure control and then spend time in the darkroom learning about processing, developing and enlarging. You will come away from the workshop with a number of test strips and final photographs.

Been shooting lots of people lately.
That really depends on the application of the photos. If it's just for web, Medium quality photoshop exported jpeg is fine @ 72 dpi. If you're hosting an image for intent of print later on, it'll need to be loss-less compression @ 300 dpi minimum. Also keep in mind that Monitor and Print sizes are not the same, 2848x4288 12 MP resolution might look huge on your monitor but that only covers slightly more than a standard 8.5x11 page @ 300 dpi.Just looking for a recommendation for what most people consider the best/reasonable resolution for displaying photos in this thread.
I don't use a picture display site so I am constrained by whatever limits such sites impose and so I just display the photo at the maximum resolution available (post-cropping). I can do that because I'm using my ISP web space and so am not really limited in the size of the image. Not to fair on those of you on bandwidth-limited connections.
So, the question is:
- What is the preferred resolution for display?
- What sort of JPEG quality level should I be aiming for?
- What sort of maximum file size should I be aiming for?

All the other shots are pretty textbookish, but this one really is hot.
What do you mean when you say they are text bookish? I wont take offense to it either way.
BTW I like the last shot too. It seems to have provoked the most attention. Even the model liked it the most.
