My first model ( Xan clone...Again ?)

I thnk bip0 (inside the pelvis) is the bone your supposed to use when rigging. Of course youve got your animations furthur than I have yet. ;)

Did you name all your animations like the defaults? Not sure but I'd imagine they have to have the same names for the engine to know what to do with them. Also did the skeleton you have come with the .bip files for it? Would make animating a lot easier if it did.

I use a modified skeleton from the MercMaleA model.
So the bones names are ok.

Also the MercMaleA model works fine with my animations.

It seems there is something wrong in my PSK file :
Two solutions : Bad rigging and so bad vertex assignment
Bug in my skeleton config

At the moment I am trying to rig my model on an unmodified skeleton from the game.

Good News :D Problem solved

The model work propely with the rig of the MercMale model.
There was a bug in my skeleton.:lol:

So today I finish the rigging and I adjust the animations.
Tomorrow I finish to compile everything ( Skin, Mesh, logo,bios,...)
And then after tomorrow I ll give you a link ( or maybe 2) to download it.

So even it is not in SkinCity, you can test it.And also help to hunt me the bugs !;)

Yeah, no offence, this isn't your fault, but I hate the UT2004 MercMale anims (ok, actually just the double jump anims) cause of the queer way they flap their arms when double jumping. If I ever make a model, even a male, for UT04, then I'm rigging it on MercFemale. (cause JuggMale is too short :))

:lol: I agree, the DoubleJump of the mercMale Model looks gay...

But I have check in game.
It's ok with my robot.:)
The MercMale animations are good on him.



Also I am forced to test in low details...

One well rigged...one more to go.

Because I don't use the same computer.
This one is very poor also for ut2004.:(
Also I am working in China and the company borrow me a computer for internet at home.

if I test with all the parameters at maximum ...the game will move at 1 pic per minute...difficult to test...:D

And I am not talking about playing on the net. :rolleyes:

I got a bad new and a good new.

My hp laptop died from card graphic heart attack. RIP

But thanks to the gods, I was able to recover all my works
( which is saved in many different HD now)

Anyway I decided to use this thread again :

I rework on the Liandribot lately :

Just need to import the Warboss and rework the materials in the editor.

Then I will have to figure out :
- how to create a custom family
- how to input custom voices & sounds
- how to create custom gibs
- and maybe I will try to make their character selection map...

That texture of the first one is very cool. The lightning in your screens is too dark, i cant see much in some of them!
