Mexicans and the US army - Is this true ?

This article says that there are 160k soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan (dunno the actual count in the military) and fully 31k non-US citizens in the military. Definately not 1/3, but still a hell of a lot of people fighting for a country not originally their own.

That's why a monarchy > elected president ... 'cause even a foreigner gets a chance to lead the country (or at the least a chance to be first lady/man)

Sure ... but somehow I doubt that anyone except perhaps the Governator could convince people that 'foreigners' should have a chance to become presidents at all.
I doubt that you'd even have this discussion if Arnold had been a non-white male or female of a non-Christian faith ...

On top of that there's your current system and the attitude that '3rd party candidates = no choice', which gives anyone except the two billionairs running for president a chance.

So while you may have the opportunity to 'change' the rules I doubt it will happen given the circumstances.

Yep, living in Mexico, risking heavy contamination by industrial pollutants such as lead and arsenic, getting paid a few dollars a week, watching all the goods go past the frontier with little in return, etc .really does constitute a choice .
