Speaking of 1v1. Rip, if you really want to get crazy, and assuming you have the right version of Mapvote on, I think you can have DM maps too.

Here's the list of DM 1v1 ladder maps from PG. I assume at one point these were all deemed fit for 1v1 EO. I don't know about anybody else but I would play a few DM here and there if somebody wanted to. Just a thought. No pressure. <3

Rahuah, when I went onto the web archive of the PG forums for EO, I saw you made a thread titled HoV in Saugus Mass.? - The archive doesn't have the threads available (possibly required login?) so I can't view the content. I was curious, are you from that area? I am, I know Retorq is from that area, and juicyfrys was obsessed with the Red Sox (though I think he was from Washington state)

Oh wow. I wish my memory wasn't so bad these days. I haven't got the faintest idea what that thread was about. If I had to guess though, judging by the title, it might have been over a confusing router hop my connection to HoV was taking, as I am (and have always been) located in Southern California, San Diego to be specific.

I was just thinking of DM/TDM maps the other night. We can do 24/7 Deck :)

Edit : 1-on-1 Judith was my go to; loved that map!

In addition to adding the skins to the server last night, I also weeded out 6-10 maps and added around 60 maps. Most of them are old classics, a few are entirely new. Please check them out, and if you run into any that are 0/10, would not play again, be sure to speak up on them. ;-) After doing that I found the jackpot listing of all the played maps, but it may be some time before I can get back to doing more on the server. Also, unfortunately, some maps on the server do not work. The files in their zips are not all they need, and I will have to track down their other dependencies. I know of K-Lined, Atomic Islands 2, and.... crap, there's more but I can't remember lol. If you hit one tell me which it is here if you don't mind so I can keep a note of it. It will revert the server to CTF-Bollwerk - you can then vote again. I will get on it next time I work on the server and I still need to make another pass at adding cheat protection and SmartCTF. :) Thanks for your interest. I'm not a fan of DM but I agree it won't hurt to add it to the server, so I'll do that eventually, just some select choices though, so if there's any in particular you'd like please point them out to me (not the whole PG list :p).

EDIT: Oh yeah, Maest stayed on the server all night helping me, thanks Maest. :)

I'll look into those two maps to see if I can find extra files for them.

I wouldn't even worry about the anti-cheat stuff. Unless there is something you can slap on and it works with little work, I don't think it's necessary. SmartCTF would be fun but if it's not working don't worry about it. I'd say spend less time configuring (short of plug-and-play) and more time fragging. :p

According to a readme I found with K-Lined the only other requirement is the Bonus Pack 4 textures. If you don't have that bonus pack, here is a link for it: LINK

Atomic islands says the same thing.

If I'm telling you things you already know just let me know and I'll shut up ;)

I think SmartCTF 4E is the current version I've seen used on a few other servers. I remember Admins in the past saying some of these things needed to be tweaked here and there because they were made for gametype CTF but we're running ECTF o_0

Thanks Sparky. :) Yeah, I think that may be the issue - the server doesn't have the 4th pack. I've read somewhere that you shouldn't install that one though. I don't remember why. I'll have to look into it some more. If nothing else I can just copy over the textures and hope that does it. I couldn't find a working download of 4E that wasn't corrupt anywhere. I'm using D. I don't think it makes a difference though. I can get it to run fine without EO and without my ActorCLP actor that I use to set the defaults for a server reset, but not with them, and it may just be one, but I can't do without ActorCLP right now.

good games osk. UT crashed twice on me during that map. not sure if it was the map or just coincidence.
