INF Coop server with Unreal (I) maps?

Would you play on an INF Coop Server running all maps from Unreal and Unreal:RTNP ?

    You can't download Unreal maps from the server. But for everything else this is correct.

    I found out INF_coop is pretty fun with shotguns, why not adding the old 2.86 shotgun to the armory, the M3S90? Link.

    UN handgun fix (attached).
    - Better LAM switching, adjust laser or light with attachment key and activate the adjusted with ROF key.
    - Further position of the pistols to the view.

    Seconding psychomorph : please add rd, utcompass and the comvoices for better communication between teammates (my acknowledge bind didn't work because of this). Also some maps have problems with endings. And lastly, the difficulty is ridiculously low with more than 1 player (not enough monsters).
    Oh i forgot, please ban the minimi, it's too easy to use against monsters and therefore doesn't encourage teamplay while progressing through the maps.

    Allow also level voting via menu, like you vote maps in INF. We currently stuck on a map, with a wrong spawn and can't end it, restarting the level doesnt work, so should be possible to vote the next level.

    With more monsters the minimi would become an essential part of the squad. I was playing and I was the minimi # 2 carried the extra ammo and kept him from getting rear ended by the skaarj. With more monsters the squad would have to play as in real life. the minimi being the main source of fire power. I've tried it with my brother and if Stink would enable a monster spawn mute and flood the map it would force players to team play.

    I suggest a modified monster spawn mute that increases the number of monsters by the amount of people connected. So if a new player joins. X monsters spawn around the map.

    I'm looking at those pictures and I'm wondering why can't we take an INF map, throw some bots in pre-arranged areas and have a co-op INF mode where you take on a mission with a team of 8-16 against overwhelming numbers (64-128 bots?)

    Ther'es no INF BOT SP AI. unless someone is willing to code behaviour where the bots hide behind crate, lean and shoot, act surprised and all that it's kinda pointless.

    Another option would be to have the standard bot code and just set it so it doesn't activate until the come under contact maybe. But I know this has been discussed and no one wants to take on the monumental task.

    Some updates...

    - Installed handgun fix.
    - Enabled ComVoices.
    - Added maps to map list so you can vote them (first 32 only).
    - Compiled new gamemode - now each player is given a translator and a scuba gear at map start.
    - Set difficulty level to 3 (hardest).

    OK, it seems I still need Unreal gold (there´s no Vortex2.unr in the NaPali maps..XP)

    But Ive been playing SP maps in COOP offline, and I can´t see the translators text anywhere (Im using Stink´s UT Translator... I summon it, I activate, and the only thing I got is a message of "new translator message" in the chat box [=P) R U guys with the same problem in the online COOP games???

    Stink. I have only one gripe with the server. THERE"S NOT ENOUGH MONSTERS!!! It becomes somewhat redundant since it's always 4 or 5 v.s. one skaarj. You can use this mutator to spawn more monsters randomly across the map so that there's more of a challenge. You can also set them to respawn but I suggest to setting a good amount of monsters and then playign through.

    I tested different mutators and this one is the only one where the monsters don't attack the default monsters on the map.

    Also, if some brave soul wished, a skarrj trooper pack with troopers compatable with inf weapons could be created and they could be spawned as well. I've got it to work once or twice in the past but they have no AI provisions for reloading so they just kind of go nuts after 30 rounds so all they need is some reload code lol.

    The mutator's author created a Jurassic Park monster pack to demonstrate the possibilty of new monsters to be spawned (they're kind of buggy so I wouldn't use them :) )

    Give it a try and I guarantee team work and lack of action will no longer be a problem.

    Ok, I´ve got UnrealGold, already in version 226b, the COOP test worked (I appeared inside the Vortex ship with all gear and HUD) but the translator still doesn´t show a hud message for me...
    Can I play with you guys? I´m in Brazil, -4 GMT...what´s your "fun time" in the server??? ;-)

    Sure. Just connect to the server. :)
    When offline testing the UTTranslator you need to start an INF game with the UTTranslator mutator running first. then open the vortex2 map.
    Or, if you prefer, start the vortex2 map with following command:

    open vortex2.unr?game=INF_GameTypes.INFg_CoopGame?mutator=UTTranslator.UTTranslator

    (to make sure that the uttranslator mutator is running)
    What you described sounds like you didn't have the mutator running.

    Online, the translator and compass doesn't show sometimes. Just reconnect to fix it.

    Lib when playing single player games you have to summon the translator. summon unrealshare.translator in your console.

    Considering the fact that we all died 2 to 5 times per map yesterday I doubt that we need more monsters. ;)
    First we should improve our teamwork .... ;)

    I don't like this idea. The monsters are part of the story. I don't want to have them randomly placed all across the map. Especially not the wrong race of monsters. Imagine a Queen in the first map. Would be nonsense.

    Sounds better to me. :)
