Hybrid Tournament (Screenshots + Info)

Ok. since I'm too lazy to write this all up again, I'm going to copy and paste my thread from atari :)

Description: Hybrid Tournament takes weapons and gameplay aspects from the various unreal games and blends them into a composite that is (hopefully) greater than the sum of its parts.
Comments:

I'll be using this thread to keep everyone up to date on development of this mod, so check back regularly and stuff :)

So far, weapons to be included are:

Dual Enforcers:
Yes, I intend to model the good 'ole enforcer as an option to use instead of the Dispersion Rifle. Model will be 'based on' the UT one, but updated.

Dispersion Rifle:
Will be similar to the unreal and unreal2 weapons, with charging altfire and (probably) regenerating ammo. Model to a design by me.

Bio Rifle:
It wouldn't be UT without the Bio :) My version will be somewhat more powerful than the frankly nerfed 2K4 one. Model to a design by me.

Canister Gun:
Still in concept stage at the moment, but will probably fire two or more different grenade style projectiles for different situations... Model based on Unreal Championship 2 concept art.

ASMD Shock Rifle:
Again, it wouldn't be complete without the ability to combo your enemies into oblivion. Possibly will have sticky shock balls (no dirty comments please ;) ) that you can stick to walls and other players, before combo-ing them. Model to a design by me.

Ripjack:
A lot of you will already know what this is capable of - headshot goodness on primary fire, charged explosive fire on secondary. Model based on UC2 artwork.

Pulse gun:
This will be a hybrid of the UT Pulse gun and UT2004's Linkgun. Vehicle healing and Node building capabilities will be retained, but no linking of team mates. It's going back to being a pure plasma cutting torch again :up: Model to a design by me.

Stinger:
The classic Unreal weapon returns. Rapid fire and the ability to launch a multi-projectile shot on altfire, with (possibly) an overcharge feature that kicks in after a few seconds of continuous fire and gives more power + rate of fire. Model based on UC2 concept art.

Flak Cannon:
Standard Flak for the most part, though I'm open to suggestions for extra stuff to add. Model based on UC2 concept art.

Rocket Launcher:
Standard rocket fire, with an interesting altfire ;) Model based on UC2 artwork.

Tarydium Sniper Rifle:
Sniper rifle sucks IMHO, it's not unreal enough for my tastes. Lightning gun is cool, but it's something of a UT2K3/2K4 signature weapon now, so I've decided to go classic and use Tarydium for my sniper. It will feature real projectile fire, not trace fire, and will generally be very secksie heh. Model to a design by me.

Hal - thanks :D

spiney - just weapons and pickups for starters as it's just me working on it. Part of the replacement mutator will mess with player stats as well though, so there will be some changed movement etc :) Obviously, with the retail maps being as they are though, I can't do anything drastic unless I create custom maps too (and that would take... uh, years probably, if I did it all myself :eek: ).

I hadn't thought of adding the upgrades to the dispersion rifle (not pistol ;) ), but who knows :)

Seriously, I don't have much of an idea on that one yet, I'll come up with something funky later :D

Boogs - possibly :) The 'other' melee weapon is making a triumphant return as well for some bloody gibbage at close range........
