How exactly should the next Unreal look like.

Right...how about Assault? That was certainly the flagship gameplay mode of UT2004, and one that is sorely missed in UT3. Any plans to bring that back?
If you mean "the mode that has had the least amount of players playing it in every UT it has been in" maybe?

I don't like both BR and Assault. The original Domination should have appeared instead, but thanksfully there's a good mod about it.

That's one of the big problems of UT. Every time the core gametypes are changed, and fans of the previous games can't play the gametypes they like, unless they stick to the older games.

Splitting the fanbase with every game just isn't a good idea.

OK: Again for the idiots that still didn't get it:

Oh, that totally changes the colors of the textures and playerskins and removes all the polygons and changes the maps lighting by adding more lightsorces, etc...?

Look, my little boy, I tried EVERY possible ini-setting the day it came out.

Yeah, we aren't living in the mid-90s anymore...if a game don't have polygons or bump mapping, then it's not a real game. Get with the times, Northrawn.

UT3 definitely changed things for me...I take back most of the bad things I said about UT3 over UT2004.

Why would anyone want overbloomed, blurred mess with DOF

Whenever someone posts something like this, I will post this image:

Seriously, shut up about the bloom and DISABLE IT.

EDIT: Putting it in my sig for easier reference.

As I said above, the whole artwork (textures, lighting, colors, etc) won't chage with a few ini-settings. Another reason while UT3 failed miserably on all platforms.
Oh and hi-poly is good, if used correctly. EPIC once had learned the lesson with maps from UT2003 and did much better with UT2004 (talking DM, CTF).

When I had met with Jeff Morris and UT3 still looked much better than now he said that all those were concerns to the dev-team.
It seems those concerns were thrown overboard in the meantime and replaced by the inclusion of glowskins, (which once had been the biggest evil EPIC could have imagined) to even be able to tell the difference between red and blue team.

I only posted that for people who keep saying that UT3 looks stupid with all of the bloom and DOF. I know you can't change the artwork of a game unless you actually go in with the editor and do it manually.

Oh, and if you guys are referring to the console versions of UT3, then I understand the complaints about Bloom. If I recall, however, you can set the post-processing to Muted to reduce the blinding effects.

If you like a little bloom (and especially DoF+tinting), just not that blindingly much, you can do this + disable high quality bloom. That way bloom is realistic and you have DoF and postprocess effects to keep the map mood.
