You can use more than 2 in diablo2 at once, mostly passive abilities but you can switch between 2 sets of 2 active abilities as well. I have some characters which have 4 or more passive abilities active at once through both items and used abilities. Theres also abilities which have a chance of going active on a successful strike or getting hit yourself.
I mean the new bar looks a fair bit better but it didnt really show how it all works, theres a quick bit where they swap before battle but whats it like in the heat of battle is what Id be wondering.
Hax, you can't triple-socket a unique item!
Game Of The Year
Diablo 3 is looking amazing. I love how the game looks visually and the color is a nice touch. As for the people that complain they really have to much time on their hands to be complaining about a game not being grey enough. Whatever keeps the emos out is another plus to adding more color to Diablo 3.
So far each class looks really good. The new Wizard looks incredible I'm so happy they brought teleport back!
The Barb is such a beast in those vids! And the witch doctor seems to be really cool.
Anyway this is going to be the first game in a REALLY long time that I'm anticipating and cant wait for. Diablo 2 is one of my favorite games, I started playing D2 again on B.NET after I heard the announcement. It's still fun the dueling is what kept it alive.
That said the D3 dev team is doing a brilliant job! I cant wait to get my hands on Diablo 3 once its finished.
One hing I really hope they fix in D3 though is the pvp system. D2's pvp system was terrible. Not gunna get into detail as to why most players that played for a long time will understand. I hope the pvp in D3 will be more controlled and balanced.

Presumably the Wizard now looks like a raging heterosexual so it's all good.
To clear up the confusion, I was commenting on the teleport. Looks to be more like a blink-ish spell, instead of the game-breaking teleport of Diablo II.
