i have now gone back to unreal tournament 99,,cuz the servers there are packed with people
and UT3 aint ,,its empty,but we all know that,.
so if the people at EPIC stepped into the section here in forums were the classic Unreal titles are,they can see what people want from the game
i say=F**CK graficsetion,,,who cares about all the shiny crap
what i think people want is a game that feels awesum to play
JUST like UT99,without miami vice colours,,just a pure fast game
this is just my 2 cents of it all,,i might be wrong
But the classic unrealtitles section always have more viewers then the UT3 forum,,and the one with most people in it,,is Unreal tournament 99
so it sort of speakes for itself.

I haven't a clue what's going on when watching videos recorded from that Super Smash Bros. Brawl game, but it's supposed to be the best game ever.

Actually, since I'm smart enough not to seriously suggest a game I know nothing about, I voted Unreal 3.

UT2003 was a good game that needed minor improvements. UT2004 came out and the crowds became stronger. UT3 came out and everyone left to CoD4. UT4 might be what could bring them back, if its not a freakin beta!!!

I'm going for Unreal 3 also. I had great fun with Unreal and Unreal 2, i just love sp games.

CliffyB said recently "there will be another game in the UT series." I don't know where that was reported.
Cliffy did say they might do an Unreal 3, its just not in the workings at the moment.
Uengine 4 is already in the works but don't expect anything of it till the next tech revolution. Thats when You could expect full DX10 or better with full 64 bit workings.
U2 is a good game just way too short. Revisiting Na Pali seems to be a must, but visiting the mercenaries world and the SKaarj world and the Krall world would be interesting.
It has to keep that mystery feeling also.
It won't be any Military sendup teamed up, you're on your own again.

I'd hope for Unreal III, especially since they would do another Unreal (With UE3) but realistically they're probably going to do GoW2. UIII will be one of the later games released with UE3, in all likelihood, right before UE4 comes out.

Unreal II was a nice game, it just had little to do with Unreal and just didn't have the same effect.
It had Skaarj, but also the Liandri Corporation.
It mentioned ASMD technology and referred to Capture The Flag (although that's hardly Unreal-exclusive).
Of course a bunch of things introduced in U2 later appeared in other Unreal games: Izanagi, TCA, the Dispersion Pistol (this design), and perhaps more, but this only ties U2 in with the later games, obviously.

I'd like to see a game using the best aspects and ideas of the original Unreal, with a splash of GoW, definitely coop, but focusing on a single player/team setting.
Maybe groups of 4-8 buddies get together and coop a massive environment like the original Unreal, but bringing in a whole new set of baddies.
They could use weapons from both series, add or upgrade a couple weapons, and throw a little strategy in.
Also, maybe they could take a step back in U-tech and open it up to a larger base of players... somewhere in between UT2004 and UT3, so no one feels ripped off or left out.
And most importantly; it's gotta be a game that lasts longer than 8-12 hours... there are too many games out there that you can beat in a day, and IMO; those games just aren't worth $50+.
As far as unlockables go; give the game a full multiplayer unlockable after you beat the sp game... no cheat codes, no hacks... once you beat the sp game, then you can choose sides and play as the good guys or the baddies against each other... but don't make it better than the sp version either.
Focus on team goals and victories... then maybe that could translate to other mp games where team work is important to victory.
Or maybe I'm just ranting and dreaming...
And keep vehicles to a minimum... maybe something small that could convert to be carried as a backpack or something... but nothing too powerful that would take away from the coop/sp experience by making it easy to kill everything with (did someone say manta? ).

Unreal Something Cool....but I know its the $$$$$$$$$$$$ Maker GoW 2 that'll be next more than likely.
Actually, I was thinking along the liners of tally marks instead of Roman numerals. The fifth would be the slash drawn through, correct?

Sorry to bump a slightly old thread, but I have been working on an Unreal 3 concept wallpaper. IIRC, both the Krall and Skaarj were in Unreal. Whoa, I better go back and play it again just to make sure.

Epic's pretty terrible with storylines, I dunno about GoW, but Unreal 1, 2, and UT3 all had terrible stories and bad ways of telling them (no offense Epic, it's just my opinion ). But yea, I'd like to see a UT4.
