The only way I know of to get into the Levi's loot chamber is to climb his corpse then do some jumping in a corner til it bugs up
There are several spots you can jump up. If you get one of the spots you can just walk into it and basically sail all the way to the top without jumping.

edit: JD was right.

END GAME SPOILERS

Just beat it. Boss battle was so glitchy. Handsome Jack kept getting stuck in the level geometry so I just kept crit shooting him in the head since he couldn't move. :D

For the warrior I just had to stand in the corner near the ammo respawner thing and there was an awning nearby for cover. I barely had to move. No challenge whatsoever!

I'm plowing through this one. Just made it to level 25 and the city of Opportunity, so I'm fairly close to the end it seems.

It's been fun so far, but it does suffer from a touch of Diablo-itis in that the entire point of the game is to find better loot which is then used to kill higher level stuff to, in turn, find better loot. Rinse, repeat. I felt this way very strongly with the first Borderlands game and not as strongly with this one because it feels like you get better loot, but I still don't think the mechanic works as well today as it did back in 1997.

So far the plotline has been a bit on the boring side, and it seems like 90% of the sidequests are just fedex quests. Which are the worst kind. Some of them have real humor and charm, and some of them are quite interesting, but sadly these are few and far between. The main plot quests have been fairly tame and predictable for me.

I was also a bit disappointed that Slag is the only new element, and to be honest it's a fairly useless element. Except when you have Slag MIRV grenades; then it's fucking amazing.

There's one easter egg in the game that had me lolling for hours:

If you go to the Hyperion base in the Highlands (the one across the way from Overlook) and you drop down the high rock wall near the turret, you can get to a middle level made of rock. There's a little camp with a couple of loot boxes under an awning. When you open the loot boxes, Claptrap comes over the communicator and parodies the double rainbow guy we've all undoubtedly seen on Youtube. While this is going on, you can apparently see a rainbow if you look through your sniper scope.

Here's a vid if you don't want to be bothered with finding it.

Eh. I think it works fine, although, as we've been discussing, the drop rate on lots of things is simply horrendous. It was much easier to find orange things in Borderlands and collecting orange things was part of the charm in the end game. That being said, the "game" lasts much longer in Borderlands 2. I've played Borderlands about 190 hours and have three maxed out characters that have literally done everything you can do in the game and all DLC. I currently have almost 210 hours of Borderlands 2, and I have two level 50 characters that have only done story missions mostly and two low level characters that I recently started.

To be fair to your point, looting becomes the biggest thing once you get past a certain point, but I really enjoy it, personally. It's one reason why the bad drop rates frustrate me, looting in Borderlands was the main thing that kept me playing it for so long.

Funny enough, you can get both Claptrap or Handsome Jack doing that that I've seen.

I believe Gearbox said they even changed how gear grades works as well
In BL1 you didn't see or get purple/orange/pearl until mid to late game. BL2 you can get any grade at any point in the game.
So supposedly there's a chance to get a purple/orange grade weapon before you face KnuckleDragger

What irks me about drop rates is it seems some drops are almost non-existant til TVHM

Yea, that.
I liked how you didn't really see the "good shit" til mid-late game in BL1 as it kind of made sense that you'd see "crappy" weapons dropping from low level enemies

Kinda wish GBX would have rigged BL2 to level with you to a certain degree.
Say you're heading into ThreeHorns and you're "expected" to be around lvl 7, but you show up while lvl 10. I think it'd be nice if the game were to re-level enemies to be between lvls 8-10(maybe 8/9-11) and continue to re-level to keep enemies within 1-2 levels of where you are

Also wouldn't mind a way to "upgrade" weapons you picked up earlier.
No part swapping, just pay X amount of cash and/or eridium, and you can upgrade a gun to your current(or close) level

It's a blatant cheat, but you can do this with Gibbed's BL2 Savegame Editor. Using this, it is possible to 'sync' a weapon or item (or all weapons and items) in your inventory to your current player level.

I used it once at level 22. I was getting my ass handed to me in Caustic Caverns and all of my decent weapons were level 15 or so. With this equipment it was nigh-impossible to defeat the Badass Pyro Threshers that frequently spawn there, and for some reason I was having a very hard time finding weapons close to level 22 that didn't absolutely suck.

somewhere; sometime?
so you guys are still playing?
that's cool man.

but I realized this week that BL2 has resulted in the same feeling as BL1.
I finished my first playthrough and it was a blast. I played the shit out of this game for a couple months. almost exclusively. and suddenly - shortly after hitting 50 during my 2nd playthrough - I simply lose all interest or motivation in continuing.

suddenly it all feels exactly the same.
you have this unlimited range of weapons but such a relatively narrow band of applications in which to use them. after a playthrough or 2, you're just grinding endlessly against the same repetitive adventure over and over. the only difference is slightly tougher bad guys. I just lose all drive to play and the DLC/expansions that come after are hardly robust enough to pull me back in.

oh well.

Just use the golden chest and you'll get leveled stuff. That's basically what it's good for.

Yeah, unfortunately I used mine the first time I reached sanctuary because I had no idea it was a 'Golden Key Chest.' It looked like a regular weapon chest to me. So I ran over, opened it, and thought nothing of it until I read about the chest on the wiki.

It sucks because I'll never get another key. They really should clarify that in-game when you attempt to open the chest.

Dude, sign up for their Shift junk and go here: https://twitter.com/DuvalMagic
Barely a week goes by that he doesn't drop a code for keys
Hell, hit up Gearbox's site, people have made an archived list of all/most key codes, some of which probably still work

Thanks, I'll try that. You sure they're still handing out keys? I've read that the final set of SHiFT keys was released on December 28th and expired before January 1st.

But really, I've got a pretty nice loadout now. If I use golden keys at all I'll wait till I'm level 50 (and to be honest, I'll probably quit playing after I finish the main and DLC plotlines, so I may not even hit 50.)

Just watch here:

Some of those may even still work, not sure.
Once you reach level 50, golden keys are largely redundant.
Agreed. They are the most useful, IMO, when you switch from Normal mode to True Vault Hunter Mode on a new character.

Blerg, so I was playing Borderland 2 ith a friend today when Steam went down, dropping us both out of the game. When Steam came back, I found I can't launch the game (gets stuck part way through the intro FMVs on the Borderlands loading animation). Interestingly, Borderlands also will not launch. Other games seem to be fine :/
