And it'll no doubt be remade soon enough, although character creation in UT3 may take a daunting amount of skill in comparison to UT2k4 and its predecessors.
The skaarj were some of the most frightening creatures from any game I have ever played. I will never forget the first time I saw that skaarj Jump on top of that elevator, cut the cables and send us both crashing in that elevator down below. Sparks shimmered from the walls as it scraped the sides. I watched the evil glow in this monsters eyes as we met in a bloody battle to the death in the room down below. I just remember that my heart skipped a beat as I saw the lights slowly die from one floor to the next till it reached the elevator.. I had no idea what to expect, but I knew that I was about to confront something of pure evil.
>UT2004 was supposed to rival Battlefield 1942 because battlefield killed UT2003. Onslaught in peticular was supposed to be the main thing against battlefield. I play C&C Renegade at LAN parties alot and the base vs. base thing in it is pretty cool, conquest kinda reminded me of it in a way. I too hope there is a good story behind the disaperance of the Skarrj.

Screw that. Epic have always given us free stuff, it's one of the things that sets them aside from the other penny pinching games companies like id.

I think its good that they dont. It makes things like the CBP's a little more valued. It is better to alow the community to expand for them.. and they do ALOT! This is what sperates the UT series from other FPS, the community keeps the game alive and forever interesting.
EPic has been good about shellign out bonus content for free in the past, but they have gotten less open in seems. I can't blame them really - it takes so much longer to make stuff these days, and they are busy with GoW, UC2, and Envy, not to mention finishing the UE3 to their liking.
