Hey yurch, i posted this elsewhere But the robar's bolt should be manually operated, i think Cyanide Triscuit has a mutator that does this. The Robar user should have to push his reload button after he fires. That may limit it's abuse.

Yep, the shotty is from me. And yeah, the model clipping - I get that too. My card sucks and I was hiping noone would notice ;P Im going to try to move it away from the camera a bit to fix it, but that might make the sights too small.
Its wierd, but that shotgun has a blade as its front sight. I have never seen a shotgun like that before - it makes the shotgun look pretty screwy from a proper sight down the barrel - I actually have the shotgun tilted downwards a bit. I will try a more natural angle next time, just remember that that stupid blade is going to mess up your sight picture.

Funny Yurch, my roomate was just commenting both on the blade sight and the fact that the shotgun was angled down too far :) Hell I wouldn'ta noticed...

I think that the model clipping on the shotgun is why no one before this (to my knowledge) used model-based iron sights instead of crosshairs. Even OFP just uses a pic for theirs... and its not jsut that it uses up too much screen space, pre 2.8 and Strike Force both had 'shouldered' weapons that were worse in that aspect than they are now...

Anyway, I don't really notice it when I'm playing... although that sight is kinda useless the way the gun is angled, kinda have to just stick the whole metal lump on my screen over the hallway I'm shooting into and start clicking :D

Finally got someone with it on Siberia, after which he said "damn shotgun... its so cheap..." :rolleyes:

Anyway, very nice Yurch I love it

No, I'm not! INFNewRC50 v1.07 still is compatible with RAv2 (Dec 11 relase), only RA needed to be "resynched" with INFNewRC50. Turned out both yurch and me decided to relase our last mutator upgrades on December 11th. :) Weird coincidence, but that's the way it goes...

There is an "INFNewRC50-enabled" build of RAv2 at http://home.tiscali.no/~kayove/ut/ra_olethros.zip . This is based on the Deceber 11 relase of RAv2 and enables the bulk penalty for my mutated version of the RC50.

As I understand, the tiny changes necessary to make RAv2 detect the raNewRC50 will be incorporated in future RA relases. I made this "special" version of RAv2 only as a stopgap until yurch is ready with his next upgrade.

As for AFA, I thought that was running an older version of RA that has no compatibility issues with INFNewRC50.

Yurch an idea on the Robar. Instead of making it impossible to shoot while standing, how about just un-aiming the weapon, whenever you move? This is well within the realm of reality for such a montrous rifle, and would make robar users more selective in their camp. Thus making it more of a "thinking ahead" type weapon.

Although I haven't seen it myself, yurch has said that there is already a mutator for UT which can do that -- but drags performance a lot.
