Coming from someone who has recently discovered the joy of iron sighted long range M16 sniping, I'm kind of looking forward to this.

We already know the key presses can be done because this is how you perform the Robar scope view trick.

So, open sighted firing is as normal, with a minor slightly random aim modification (in the right to up arc?) that may spoil long range shots. Holding the trigger will fire single, burst, or semi (as appropriate).

If I hold my breath, these rules come in. I get the scope view steadying as normal. If I press and hold the trigger, there is no shot, but instead I begin a slow pull on the trigger. After a sec (or .5 sec), the trigger is a hair away from firing, and the jerk from trigger pull is nullified. When I let go of the trigger, the bullet fires. If I let go of the aim/breathe key, then the bullet will not fire when I let go of the trigger.

I like it.

The two main concerns I have are:
1. How to allow the Robar scope to continue to be visible when you are taking a shot like this. I would think the effort to get this much precision would increase the desire to maintain the view.
2. Make sure that you don't inadvertantly get yourself in aim mode and be unable to make a shot when necessary. As a suggestion, have this only kick in when you have held your breath to the maximum compensation level.

Nice on Turtle.

Hey Yurch, I am led to believe that the above is RA V2 Final? Should I throw this up on the server and consider it final or what? And hows the bulk in this one?

Ahh, you may as well call it final. I haven't done much testing on it, but when you look at the mutator 30000000 times, its hard to see differences. I would like to go on to new features, and I think this is good for now.
Here is the only buglist I have:
Shotty burst selector is broken.
FAMAS burst selector shows auto/burst/semi always, but functions the same way it always does.
With the psg-robar swap, the player keeps the leftover robar clips.
Thats all I can remember.
Bulk of robar and psg are increased as well.

And as for you conception of the idea, monk, I see that you do not have the gun fire after .5 seconds of holding the trigger. Do you feel thats appropriate?

I don't know El Yurcho, those sound like some bad bugs. Would the swap sufferer be stuck without the right PSG ammo?

*Edit : Server updated with latest for both. If you keep making new versions every day I'll rename the server Keg and Yurch's BDSM house. ;) *

Better well Damn Stop the Mutator's House :p

I don't plan on releasing a version for a while now, I've got to figure out how to broadcast the information of a respawn time between all the players. :hmm:

So, a while as in a week or so :p

Just use a level.Timeseconds from teh start of the map, and respawn the players in intervals from 1-2 minutes apart. If you wanna, do a check to see if the player has been out for at least thirty of those seconds.
Gimme mah gametype!

I don't need any log files.
But, on the plus side, I am working on 2 newly found bugs in rav2 - thanks to the guys in the server kind enough to help me track them down.

JamesT, could you write out your "concentration" idea again, all in one place?
Ive been reading over old posts, and can't quite figure out it in its entirety.
