How would I do a good-looking "cataract" effect, though? (I just wanna know for future reference.)

Sorry for not replying sooner, what with it being Xmas & all.

Anyway, I don't have my Wacom rigged up at the moment & I'll be buggered if I'll use a mouse now for graphics but I found an image that you could get some idea's from for future reference:

I'll echo a comment I made about Loki on UT200XHQ.com.

I find this to be a refreshing idea for an old stock model such as this. It most certainly does have a Necris feel to it. Just remeber next time you post a picture on UT200XHQ (or Levels4You) that you make sure it is SUPER BIG so that pesky logo doesn't obscure anything important.
