And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, the moment you have all been waiting for. Put your hands together for the final (thank god!) terribly exciting and thrilling installment of the the long lived saga The Terribly Exciting and Thrilling City in Which Almost Lives.
Now, you have all seen more or less all there is to see in the northern part of town. Guess what. Time to go south!
However, sometimes it's better to show a little and leave the rest to the imagination. The problem with downtown Holmestrand is that there is no way to get more than 200-300 meters away from water. The moment you step away from the actual bay area, picture number one is typical of what you will see. Smalltown sleepy streets.
Of course, there is a shopping street of sorts too, which is what you see in picture number two. The construction going on is the new policestation. In a distance you'll see what devides downtown and "uptown" Holmestrand. The mountain. Which brings us to pictures number 3.
I hope you all appreciate how I stared down Death and won. I'm standing less than 15 centimeters from the edge, leaning out to bring you this picture
200 meters straight down. Well, 180 to be honest. Anyway, there you see where I live. Locate the yellow building with the black roof in the left corner, close to the water. Behind that, as in away from the water, there's a smaller building. ME!
And there it is. Downtown Holmestrand. Oh, and I lied. You know, about this being the final installment and all. I'm gonna do what the tourist agency here fail to do! Hang on to your shorts. You haven't seen anything of "uptown" Holmestrand yet! Oh, the excitement! The intolerable horror of waiting for it!
PS : Can you tell I'm bored?
