Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. And how well would you think UTlive would do when they have to compete with QuakeLive, BattleField Hero's, etc.
Um.... UT never had a problem competing with Quake in the past. BF and CoD and those games are not in the same genre.
UT4 If you want to play UT1, just go get it.
NO, Good marketing idea, HORRIBLE online gaming idea. Same thing happend with FEAR Combat, you can't stop cheaters since they can get a free copy again.

I have played UT1 and still play it to this day, and it is not free, only free in the pirate sense. It also isn't as bad as FEAR Combat cheater wise.
Free in the Quake Live sense is fine since you have to get an account. I want a UT4, not a lightly rehased UT1 or 2k4.

yeah UT3, Finished and Polished "when its done" way it was supposed to be is what i vote for.
UT wouldnt have had a problem competing with other FPS' if it had been finshed and polished. sucky demo and unfinished game = loss.
ps. real gamers dont want a new game that runs on a 3 year old laptop... at least all the ones i know dont.

I don't know what your definition of real gamers are but from my experience, if they gameplay was good and fun, they would play it even if it didn't require a high end computer. D:

youve got it backwards, ppl are complaining because they cant run the game on a low end machine, im not saying they only want to run it on a high end machines.
just that its silly (to me and most ppl i tal to) to want a new game that uses 3 year old technology. theres lotsa old games out there to run on old equipment. we dont need to hold back new games to run on old pcs. system specs are not the reason UT3 has lower player numbers.

If there is no market for high end PC games then why did Bioshock, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, sell so well on the PC? I'm sure Far Cry 2 will to.
The markets there, but they don't go for unfinished games. If this expansion pack really does revamp the entire game, then they have potential to save their franchise. Don't let us down Epic.

UMMM ut99 IS free. What do you think patch 436 does hmmm???? ever thought of downloading the demo and applying THE OFFICIAL EPIC PATCH 436 to it? OH YEA YOU GET FULL VERSION.
If you don't think people cheat in ut99 then you are a moron. People even find ways to use cheats in bunnytracks. Yes I said even f!#@#@ing bunnytracks.
